I just want to say I will Never step foot in another auto zone EVER agine!!!! They fried my battery and would not pay for a new one. We took our battery to auto zone in battle creek mi to get a fast charge and when we came to pick it up the employee asked another co-worker which battery caught on fire and he said it was my durlast. Then the employee told us it was hooked up wrong and the teeth were not touching the battery post and it caught fire and smoked. And they said it was not there fault, well I think it is! Thanks for nothing O'Reilly Auto Parts is the best at least they do you right!

In Nov 2011 my dim light went out on my SUV I went to local AutoZone and purchased a replacement bulb. I didn't get that bulb put in ,but had bulb in vehicle, about 2 weeks later the other dim light went out. Now to the important part of my dim light tale. Went back to our local store, took the prepurchased bulb in and told the clerk I needed another just like that. This is what he did; refunded me my money on bulb #1 then sold me a dual package saving me money and when he found out I didn't know how to change bulbs he grabbed a handy tool and in a short few monents I had 2 working dim lights. This clerk name is Terry he works in store 363. I believe this man should be employee of the year or should receive an award of some type. I am sure I am not the only person he has helped out. He stated he has worked for AutoZone 27 years and has never been reconized LETS CHANGE THAT.

I ordered a Actron CP1980 scanner from Autozone online. They sent me a E-mail stating that they shipped the CP 1980 scanner and charged my credit card. When the product arrived they had written substitute CP9575 of the ticket by hand. The ticket clearly shows CP1980 on it. The Actron CP9575 is a far cheaper scanner than the Actron CP1980 I ordered and the one Autozone charged me for.I believe this was done intentionally by Autozone to defraud me. The Actron CP1980 is being discontinued by the manufacture and has been replaced by a new model Actron CP1985. The CP1980 is twice the scanner and had features that are missing in the CP9575. I simply wanted what I ordered and payed for. Which is what Autozone agreed to ship me Actron CP1980 scanner. I can not believe that Autozone would defraud its customers like this and plan on staying in business.
I am now without a scanner for over a week and am being told bt Autozone coustomer service to wait while they look into it. What a Ripoff.

I bought a couple new parts from autozone about a month ago. Both of them were sensers both of the parts failed, and when your driving far away and the car breaks down, U don't have much time to get new parts. I was on the road and had to have it tolled to a. Shop which was very expensive + the cost of the toll, the shop repaired it and gave me the failed parts and told me to return them to autozone for credit, Well I did that and they said they would not take back the parts or give me credit. The parts were over 90 dollars and the cost of the install. I feel no satisfation with my service with them and will never shop or buy from them again...POOR customer service!

I bought a MAP Sensor from the Ellenwood, Ga store on 1/27/2012 put the part on my car the check engine would not reset w my scanner. Looked at it and realized that on.e of the wires on my lead was broken so the original sensor was not bad. This was around 11:00am took the part back to the store to get a refund around 11:15 and was they could not refund my money. Show the manager on duty where the wire was broken on my vehicle he still refused to refund me. I replied that now you are telling me I'm stuck with a part I don't need his response was "that's why you need a mechnic".Are you kidding me and he's a manager? He is rude has no customer service skills.Someone really needs to check in to this store because I have seen him be rude to customers on several occassions.

This morning I went to return a part to Autozone in brooklyn located on atlantic ave. The cost of the part was $108.00. The stote management claimed they didnt have the money to do the refund that early in the morning!!!! (Can you believe that!!) Left the store and later in the afternoon went to another store to return the part and was told they couldnt find the receipt information in their system which was a bunch of crap!! I wont be doing any business with autozone in the future due to the run around I received. There wasnt a problem when they took my money but now its a problem getting it back. How unprofessional can they be!

I was a customer in St Joe Michigan, till today when I found out that a man after 13 year's working at that store get's ship off like he don't matter A part sale's manager, a good man great customer skills a well loved man around his customers a man that takes care of everyone....Get's shiped off cuz the main guy wants to make st joe mi store whites and hispanics and benton harbor all blacks. i was in the store when that was said. So a person's skills goes down to color? BULLSHIT! Why don't ya get somebody in charge off the store that is about skills customer service and not race....Oh by the way I'm a white woman standing up for someone I feel should not be treated like a dog, and yup he is black. A man that goes out of his way to help the customer, a man that goes out of his way for the store that he works for. And treated like this is bull plum bull, it should be about growing as a company and not the color of a person's skin.! Boy ole boy wonder if the people of Benton Harbor would like to know that race is becoming a factor behind close door's? Hmmm newspaper perhaps? I'm not done !!!!!!

The assistant manager at W. Chestnut in Springfield is hard to work with. When he's not flipping through papers (acting busy to avoid waiting on customers) he's on his phone (texting or something). He thinks he owns the store and I'm sure he thinks they will give him his own store someday. He'll never be able to run it. He doesn't talk to the employees or the customers like he should. They are all below him and he doesn't seem to think he has to. Some of the employees are older than him and he talks to them like they are nothing. He seems to take pride in the way he has arranged the store but it is a mess. I haven't talked to one person that likes it, including the manager and other employees. Very sad how this store is going down. O'Reily is closer to my house and I recommend it to everyone.

Went to Auto Zone at West Jefferson and had a battery put in vehicle and as soon as we started to pull out the vehicle quit going forward. Had to have the vehicle towed in and took to a shop. Then the manager at Auto Zone said that they wouldn't pay for it to be fixed . It has really took almost everything we have to have the vehicle worked on . I wouldn't recon-mind anyone to go there .

I wish there was a sign for less than one star. I wanted to buy two items and found them both with sale signs. The clerk wanted to argue about what the signs meant and charge me full price. I went two blocks down the street and got them for even less, and the clerks were friendly (Autoworks). Bad attitude will drive me away quicker than anything.

Went to the auto zone at 895 keith street in cleveland tn and got the absolute best service ever imaginable! Battery light was staying on in my car and was going to have it checked. The manager, joshua, came out to check the battery and also the alternator. After finding that we needed a new alternator, we purchased it, and he helped my husband, which had just became my husband the night before, change the altenator. Wanted to say thank you ssssoooooooo much for the help and wonderful customer service. We will use auto zone for all our vehicle needs in the future. And again, thank you josh!

The Auto Zone store at 1926 candler rd Decatur,Ga . The manager Earl Wright has the most profound way of dealing with customers to whom is spending money at Auto Zone. His attitude is very bad. Someone need to do something about it. I send all my customers to Auto Zone because of the prices are great. People that work under him are not happy. I will see if things change at this store within the next few months. If not I will need to send my people to other stores.

The manager at your Excelsior Springs store went above and beyond the call of duty when he sold a battery to a person i had hauled from in front of the Sears store to his store. Not only did he sell him the battery he took tools and drove his own vehicle back to the Sears store and installed the battery in his truck. The out side temperature was 18 degrees, he told us to stay inside the store where it was warm. The man i took to Auto Zone was so happy as he was elderly and had no tools with him. I can not remember the managers name but I would like to thank him for the elderly man,and myself. This happened 01/17/2012, Thanks again to the manager at the Excelsior Springs AUTO ZONE for your kindness to the elderly man with no tools.

Hey, does ANYBODY read these postings? There are ALOT of one star ratings!!!
Shouldn't the district manager check out these complaints and make a move to correct / rectify them??
My store manager (In Hespermia, CA) is NICE. But some of her clerks are walking idiots. My company and I (Route 66 Ranch) own and maintain approx 30 vehicles, R.V.'s, trailers, trucks.
Never have a problem when the manager is there. But watch out for the idiot clerks when the manager is off, out to lunch,or otherwise engaged!!??

Paco Martinez 1/13/12
I received a $5 off $25 purchase COUPON: I bought $40 bucks worth of stuff. When I presented the coupon to the jerk-clerk (In Hespermia, CA) I was told, "Can't take it, cuz the stuff is 'on sale' ." Well, the coupon is WORTHLESS B.S. I guess: everything in the store is on sale--nothing is list price. Asinine. Jerk-b@stard clerk nullified a legitimate coupon savings.
Come to think of it, LAST time I tried to use a coupon, manager told me 'bar code doesn't scan--you'll have to call district manager. . .' I said, "Screw it" and threw the worthless coupon away.
Moral of the story: Auto Zone issues BOGUS coupons which are impossible to use or are refused at the check stand. Screw Auto Zone.

Hi: On 1/09/12 I went to the Galt,Ca. store with questions about my trucks performance. The name of the employee that helped me was Paul. Paul was very polite and extremely knowledgeable about automotive. Paul instructed me and sold me the things I needed to solve my problem and my truck is running great again. Thanks Paul, you are the person that I will come see for all my automotive needs.

Ordered several items for Christmas. They shipped 1, but charged me for the entire order. I called the see where the others where, but was told it would take 48 hours to get an answer from the fullfillment center. That was 4 days ago! I called back, talked to the same person, now the other items are out of stock! The supervisor was clueless as to the procedure and refused to give any contact information for the fullfillment center. So why was my credit card charged? Thats their policy!- total fraud!- NEVER USE AUTOZONE.COM!

I purchased a battery from the Autozone on 14th Street in Huntington, WV on the advice of your technician, who said the cells were bad. Up to that point everything was working fine--no electrical problems, except for a poorly performing battery. The same employee installed the new battery, and upon turning ignition switch, I was surprised to see there wasn't any response. No lights, inside or out or any evidence that a battery was even in the car. At that point, he unhooked the connections and turned it around and re-attached the terminals, with the same results. The car ended up sitting in the parking lot for two days until the mechanic I hired replaced a fuse. It started, but the voltage regulator inside the alternator was wrecked. So, I'm also having it replaced and please let that be the end of it. I firmly believe that he crossed the wires the first time and blew out my electrical system. All I wanted was a battery, and I ended up with a badly damaged car. The manager of the store and his manager (who I never spoke with) offered me a ten percent discount on another alternator, and that, with a bunch of double talk and a sleazy attitude, is all they had to offer. My husband owns a trucking company, and over the years, Autozone has benefited to the tune of thousands of dollars from his business. Never again. He'll tell all of his buddies, and I'm spreading the word on the Internet. No more Autozone.

I went into the Lake Forest Ca. Store on December 23rd in the morning. I asked for a battery for my car ( I had called in advance to make sure they had in stock). When I got there Joshua the Parts Manager assisted me and got the battery. He was immediately rude to me for no apparent reason. I ask him if he could put the battery in. Five minutes into changing my battery he told me it sickens him Autozone works on customers cars for free:(. At this point I said I could go somewhere else he said, no no. Paid for battery went out to start my car it didn't even click over it was dead!!!!! He checked the new battery and it was good. Took that battery out put another new one battery in. The whole time complaining, talking rudely customers and co workers looking:(. He brought his personal vehicle over to jump start my car. My car was dead!!!! I had to call Triple A to tow my car to my house. He was rude, unhappy and unprofessional. Now I have to take my car to a shop to be fixed and I will be billing Autozone. Completely unhappy. I will be calling Autozone in the morning to hopefully resolve this unfortunate incident. And to have them explain to me why they hire employees like this. I want to add over the years I have been in Autozone for odds and ends for my car AND never had a problem.

I HATE AUTOZONE!!!!!!!! After a week of testing everything from top to bottom on my car it turned out that the problem all along was the battery that is less than a year old……..The mechanic told me that it is taking and holding a partial charge and my car requires a fully charged battery to start, JR confirmed that he was telling me the truth about my car needing the fully charged battery and why. Mark took the battery to AutoZone and Per AutoZone the charge that it will take is within what they consider okay so would not honor the warranty. Both Jeff Nelson who works in an auto body shop and the man who worked on my car told me to let you know to stay away from anything that has the AutoZone name on it. They are using the cheapest material they can in their products and quickly gaining a reputation for not honoring warranties. Anyway I told Mark to get a good brand battery for me from someone that honors their warranties which he did. I am extremely grateful that I was out much less than expected to fix the car so am okay with that, It really pisses me off that I was without my car for 5 days because of AutoZone and you better believe that corporate is going to get an earful from me.
Mark did tell me when I picked the car up that the brake pads do need to be replaced soon . If he had told me this before I got it I would have told him to get them out of the trunk and do that for me so try to squeeze that into your busy calendar in the near future. Other than that everything else checked out A Okay!!!!!
I know we have all been as busy as beavers this week, everyone is gone this evening so had time to catch up our laundry, do a little cleaning and baking this afternoon. I know that Kathy and JR are excited about getting a chance to spend some time with all of you. Kathy spent some time with Pam today, she and JR are visiting their friend Jonathan this evening, Amy picked Mandi up last night so she is there and Barbara is at Southland, hopefully winning a bunch of money. I thought about joining her at Southland early this evening but decided the peace and quiet was what I really needed to unwind, relax and get some much needed rest since I had one of my really bad nights last night, didn’t get to sleep until after 4 AM this morning and couldn’t really sleep in because I needed to go get my car and the shop was closing at noon today.
Laura, Kathy will make the Cherries in the Snow cake and I am going to make the Broccoli Rice casserole. I did decide to skip the rum cake since I made up a batch of Rum Balls earlier this week. I think we would end up with too much dessert and know you now know how to make my rum cake so maybe you might make one for you guys for New Years Eve  See you and crew tomorrow night at Vicki and David’s.
Love,
Mom

Just want to say I live in Rialto CA and will drive to La Verne CA store for my parts just due to the fact that the manager Sherri Westbrook is a very excellent manager and she has a very friendly and knowledgable staff their I have gone to other autozone in my area but just don't get same treatment out here, also when requesting info the staff is very helpful at full filling my needs thats why I will take the time to drive out that way to get parts I need. I also notied their is a new AutoZone being built in the city of Fontana CA and just wanted to say wish she could be in a location closer to my area and think she deserves a new store to run. Even though it might not be given to her I still will have to make the drive out to La Verne just to get the knowledge and service I don't get at other locations.

The manger at the Baltimore, MD. Reisterstown Road location was very very ignorant and was not helpful at all to me on the phone and hung up..bad business. All I had was some simple questions about a battery. His name is Gary Luttem, Littum. I will picket that location. Why do theses kind of people work for your company. I will never go to Autozone for anything again, or will I recommend them to anybody. As I see most of theses reviews are negative, it figures.

I purchased a catalytic converter/exhaust for an '01 Honda Civic from the Autozone on Lapalco Blvd., Gretna, La. The part cost $287. I would have thought that the doughnut gasket would be included, but no. Not only was it not included, I had to drive across town to pick it up from their hub store for $10. Imagine my dismay when I went to install the heat shield on the converter and found the pre-drilled bracket holes were too small for bolts. I called Kelly, the asst. manager, who, after hearing my plight, put me on hold. A parts clerk picked up and I asked what they could do for me at which time he put me on hold and left me there. No one picked up. As a former employee I'm stunned at what passes for customer service today and the quality of parts has even deteriorated to unacceptable. Think I'll head over to O'Reilly's from now on. Kelly, I know we taught you better.

I put my application in online it took over a week before they could find it. Now you are saying that im not qualified for the job at autozone. I have ase certification in brake cooling and suspension. Three years as a manager at monro muffler brakes and service. I would really like to be part of the autozone team.

New Bedford Massachusetts Rockdale Ave store. This will definitely fall on deaf ears or blind eyes. But I asked a certain employee to do a code check on my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Employee name was Clay. No response from him other than a mean look and a sigh. He grabbed the machine mumbled something about a key. He sat in my vehicle and said "Well?" I said "excuse me?" in a very mean voice "I can't read the code without the key!" I said "ok" he snatched the keys from me quick. ran the code slammed my door. and walked away never saying anything to me. so like a dog(how I felt) i followed him. He gave me a slip of paper and said "See ya!" I asked "what does this all mean?" he replied sharply "I don't know how to read that!" Not knowing what it meant I went to a competitor to read a code and buy the parts I needed. OK is this what a company owner would want representing their store? As far as I'm concerned this is my store. I buy tons of parts from Auto Zone to fix cars at my business/shop! I love the prices. But if going to a competitor to avoid attitude. I am going there tomorrow for spark plugs wires, few case of oil , and a case of antifreeze and again code read for another vehicle. I hope I don't get an attitude!

My wonderful experience started earlier this year. I had bought a Spectrum Radiator 3 years ago. Well, like with most things from AZ, it is cheap and made to fail. The neck got a crack in it, so I called AZ like I have done for over 10 years. They said it was still under warrantee so bring it in and they would swap it. Great I thought, saved me $125 or so, so I pulled the old one, got the new one, and couldn't believe how much fluids I had to keep putting in it. Well...I found out, not on the ground, but into the Internal Transmission Cooling lines, thus filling my trans with WATER. AZ is still giving me the runaround and the DM, Donovan ha lied to me and dodged my calls for the past 4 months. Nice managment AZ, Customer Service is NOT a priority. They have lost a customer for life as well as all my friends, 6 of which own shops. But the upside is that if I just came out of pocket for a trans, they will send the radiatod off to be tested. Then, if it is the radiators fault, they will pay WHAT THEY FEEL IS A FAIR PRICE, NOT WHAT THE SHOP CHARGES. WHAT A TERRIBLE WAY TO DO BUSINESS!! Still no contact from good old DM DONOVAN IN PAULDING GEORGIA!!!

Autozone was the only place I've done business since the 90's. They always had my part, were helpful and made things right...until now!!! I've always purchased my batteries on all of my vehicles from Autozone. Recently I brought my vehicle in since I was told my battery was bad by another place of business. Autozone tested it, said it was good. They also told me my regulator in my alternator was bad. So I took it to my mechanic who told me the alternator was fine, the battery was bad (short in the 3rd cell) I took it back to Autozone, they said the battery was good. A couple of days later I needed jumper cables as my battery was dead. Again I took it to Autozone, they said my battery tested good and wouldn't let me exchange the battery for a replacement utilizing the warranty, as the rep said it was their policy. Good policy, it must decrease the amount of income lost to Autozone due to inappropriate exchanges, however, the income lost due to the loss of this customers business will far exceed one battery exchange, REAL SMART.....

I went to the Auto Zone in Ardmore,OK on 10/27/11 to get a battery. As luck would have it, it was a cold and rainy day. I was greeted by Phillip who ask if he could help me, so I told him what I needed. Phillip went out to the car and removed the defective battery, handed my paperwork off to a fellow cashier while he installed the new battery, checked the starter and alternator. I remind you, this is all in the cold rain. He went above and beyond what I expected and for that, I am grateful for his assistance and for the piece of mind he gave me. Again, many thanks Phillip!! I will be back when needed.

I visited the Pickens SC store on October 11, 2011 as we were on our way out of town for vacation. I walked in the store to get a converter so we could use the gps and also my grandson watch his dvd player on the way. As I stepped off the rug in front of the door there was water on the floor, there was no caution wet floor ssigns out or the employees working wasnt trying to get the water up they were just standing leant up on the counters , when I fell both guys stood behind the counter and laughed then finally one of the guys came to me and ask if I was ok and i told him hell no I hurt my knees. Anyway to make a long story short I have not heard from Autozone but once and that was when i was on vacation and they ask if I seeked medical care which I did, Today I called corporate offices after being told I needed to be transfered 4 times I recieved an answering machine so I left my name and number for someone to call me. Looks like I will be getting an attorney. No one wants to answer my questions or even talk to me.

Today I went to this Autozone store to return a part. Now, I have always used Autozone as my parts store. I figure that customer loyalty may even prove out someday ... but not at this* Autozone store. The part was an oxygen sensor. I found out from my mechanic that I had bought a part that he couldn't use. So I took it back to the Autozone store.

Now, this part has a warrantee. if it ever went "bad", I could get it replaced. But apparently, since I did not have the original 5 cent box that it came in, even though I had the paper receipt and the instuction sheet that it came with, I was informed by the manager that I was just shit-out-of-luck and that Autozone would not refund ANY money or otherwise take it back.

Well, I just left the part on the counter with the receipt and walked out. O'Reilly's just opened up a store down the street and it looks like that store will get my business from now on, because Autozone has no f*ckin' loyalty to its own long-term customers.

I would like to say that your employee Neil, @ store #4109, is very knowledgeable about the parts he sells. He goes that extra mile to make me the and you the customer feel appreciated. And Neil, is always on top of his Auto parts knowledge. The one problem with your store is you have one young man named Brian who TALKS way to much!! And that just turns me OFF,( I DON'T NEED TO KNOW THE KIDS LIFE STORY OR THE THINGS HE'S DONE!!!!!) So, I avoid him. And ask one of the others now, every time I see him in the store!!! I have been to your store several times and see the store manager, and other employee's smoking out side in front of the building, shouldn't your employee smoke in the back of the building??? As a overall rating of this store I give it 3*** stars. And Neil, i'll give 5 stars...

Thank You,
Shirley Wood.

First off I want to say I have not spent hundreds of dollars at Autozone I have spent THOUSANDS since 1999. Please check your records for your stores in Huntington Beach and Westminster Ca. where my thousands have been spent! Now my problem.... Today temperatures hit just under 100 degrees here in Orange County Ca. Around 12:00 noon I left home to take my niece to work and to attend a business deal in Garden Grove Ca. I drove approx. 5 miles to drop off my niece and when she got out of my car she notice fluid leaking from under my hood. I opened the hood and noted steam and anti freeze coming from the over flow container. One of the workers at E-Z Lube came over and removed the cap. (after it cooled) He said the cap felt loose when he opened it so we figured that was the problem and needed to be tightened when the anti- freeze was put back in it. As I left I noticed the temperature gauge read normal. I drove approx. one mile when it registered very hot. I pulled into a gas station and spent $1.00 just to get some water for it. At this time I put another gallon of anti-freeze in it. Temperature gauge read normal. I was at this station over an hour waiting to be sure it was cooled off. I finally reached Newland St. which was only a couple miles from where I was at the station, when once again the temperature gauge hit very hot. Being familiar with this area I knew there was an Autozone on the corner of Newland and Westminster Blvd. I drove into Auto-zone with my car making a horrible sound and steam pouring out from under the hood. At this time I noticed a couple of employees (male) look my way then continue doing what they were doing. It took me approx. 30 minutes to wait for it to cool down so I could remove the over flow cap. This seem to be the area where water was steaming out of. I went inside the store walked to the counter where I was met by an Asian man. I showed him the cap and told him I didn't know if this was the problem because I didn't know what the cap should look like. He looked at me like I was nuts. He went into the back and brought out a package with a cap that looked similar to the cap I was holding. With no help or answers from these Autozone employees I bought the cap and went back outside to my car. Once again NO fluid was in the over flow. I went back inside and walked to the coolant isle. I only had $13.00 in my purse so I chose a container of coolant that was $10.99, it was orange instead of the green my car took. I walked to the counter where the Asian guy said this coolant would work, I said even if it's orange? By then my arms were so tired I could no longer hold the container of coolant so I set it on the counter. The Asian guy walked out from behind the counter and pick up the coolant and started walking back to where I got it. Mind you he never said a word to me about what he was doing. (I also noticed a white autozone employee watching this whole thing but never offered to help.) I followed behind him where he points to a $12.99 coolant. I told him I didn't know if I had enough money, again he looked at me like I was nuts. I pointed to a cheaper brand on the bottom shelf and asked if I could get the cheaper one and he answers, " will it work in your car". I looked at him this time like he was nuts and I said, " How the hell should I know, you work here I don't!!! Aren't YOU suppose to know these things??? He smiled and walked to the check out with the more expensive coolant. It was now 100 degrees outside and due to suffering from a muscular disease (Myasthenia Gravis) I was weak and my arms felt like the couldn't lift another thing. I struggled with the coolant while trying to put the funnel where it belonged then pouring the whole gallon into the overflow. Not once did anyone from Autozone come out to help or even inquire on how I was doing!!! Once again the temperature gauge registered back to normal. It was now 3:00 pm and my meeting was missed. I drove less than 3 miles when it over heated again. Pulling into a 76 station on Garden Grove Blvd. I was in tears while calling for a tow truck. I am finally home and its 5:00 pm. My point to this whole complaint is "What the hell has happened to the kind and courteous employees at Auto-zone"? I have never experienced such rudeness and unprofessional assistance as I did at this Autozone. The guys at the Huntington Beach Autozone are always helpful and would NEVER have left me to do this alone!!! I think Autozone's employee's need classes on how to treat paying or non paying customers.

Auto zone parts are parts sold for making money from with you and at the same time crunch up your motor so more reapir is needed on your vehicle in hope you will continue buying paerts from with them. We bought a water pump from with an Auto Zone in a town of Rosemont, which is Sacramento, where we had also bought an alternator belt which in less than a month and 1/2 it tore and due to it having torn
other parts of the motor starting getiing haywire as my wife and I were coming back to Sacramento from Reno nevada. I would recommend very highly that anyone thinking about giving auto zone any business that they make change of plans and go see O'reilly or Pep Boys whom put out better quality supplies I have made my last mistake ever by buying auto parts from Auto Zone.

AutoZone Customer Service
Reference Store #1242
13202 Walsingham Rd.
Largo, FL
(727) 596-5801

Customer Service Representative and Management:

I would like you to understand a recent visit to your store. I purchased a “heavy duty tire inflator” on my bank debit card. I prefer to use my card as a credit card for purchases to ensure that I receive airline miles through the bank. I returned home with the merchandise and found it was broken. You can imagine my dismay when I walked to your store, and walked home only to find the item was not in working condition. I returned to your store, to exchange or purchase an upgraded model tire inflator.

I was unable to find another tire inflator of the same model. I did find the same model packed in a different kit for a slightly more expensive purchase. I was willing to pay the difference. However I want you to be aware your store created a fraudulent charge on my debit/credit card.

In the exchange process your sales rep simply returned the purchasing price to my debit card. I am well aware, when a business uses this practice they hold the money in their account for approximately 3 business days prior to it ever being returned to my bank. When I paid for the item to begin with, I didn’t agree to keep my money for 3 days in my bank prior to giving it to your business. When I return an item you should not have the right to keep my money for 3 days prior to giving it back, only to earn interest in your account. The definition of theft is: the unlawful appropriation of someone else’s property with the intent of keeping it from its rightful owner. In its broadest sense, any example or act of stealing, which includes burglary, embezzlement, false pretenses, or larceny.

Under “false pretenses” you are keeping my money as your store manager stated “this is our store policy, and there is no way to do a simple exchange of products, we have to credit your card, and then you make the purchase again”. By operating this way you would keep my money for the original purchase in your account for 3 days, and you would take money again from me for the new purchase. Thus giving you some sense of entitlement to double the purchase worth.

I find your business practices unethical. I will never shop with your store or affiliates again. I will also make a point to share your horrible business practices with all of my family, friends, co-workers, and aquaintences. I feel I will be able to share my story with many people. I will make it a point to share this story very often.

I want you to be aware that you have no entitlement to MY MONEY, and you should not be keeping it with your accounts for 3 days to earn interest. I didn’t make a purchase and keep Your goods or services for 3 days prior to reimbursing you for such.

Sincerely, a very dissatisfied customer,

Jeremy Lauseng

Have been trying to get my money back on bank card for 3 weeks and haven't received it yet. My said they had not sent it back to be redeposited in my account. I personally will not shop at Auto Zone again. It doesn't take this long at Wal-mart when they have to do something like this.

DO NOT BUY TOOLS FROM AUTOZONE. Supposedly the Great Neck line of tools have a lifetime warranty on them. My T40 torque bit and the wobble extension broke. When I took it into store on Route 79 in Heath, Ohio the MANAGER told me that he could NOT honor the warranty and that Great Neck was bought out by Snap-on Tools. I work as a mechanic for Ford and know the Snap-on guy personally and when I asked him he told me that it was bullshit. Snap-on did NOT buy out Great Neck. Why would this store manager tell me this flat out lie??? I have had other products warrantied by AutoZone but apparently they are loosing money or something because now they do not want to exchange the broken tools. I will NEVER buy or set foot inside an AutoZone store again. Screw them!!!!

E Bremerton, WA customer 8/14/11
My friend and I were gathering parts to work on his 02 Chevy avalanche, so we check prices and some parts were cheaper at AutoZone so we arrived at the east Bremerton store to test the coolant system with my pressure tester kit, so I did however need to borrow the adapter that AutoZone had this young guy said, "it's a 35 dollar rental" I said can we just use it real quick in the parking lot, it would just be so much more convenient without buying it and returning it with the deposit purchase, return exchange through the register machine and ... so the guy said “collateral'? so my friend gave him the keys to his truck. We hooked the kit up and couldn't get any pressure, so I wanted to start it with the gauge attached so see it if would just maybe read any psi while running and possibly find a leak while it was running. So we head back inside and the same guy said that what we were doing didn't make any sense at all and did not agree to let us have the keys back without returning his 35 dollar rental tool, finally he agreed but only this time we gave him my friends driver's license and the AutoZone retail worker was very reluctant to help us out even though he had a co-worker and we were the only customers at the time so we started it and didn't get a reading so that narrowed it down further for me so quickly with the truck losing fluids my friend ran inside to return the pressure tester adapter kit and came back out to the truck so we could go on our way... This employee was trying to accuse us of stealing a seal that he imaginarily thought belonged somewhere on the tool, which where he was referring to, there wasn’t one there in the first place, only one seal was on each adapter, the male and the female and he was certain of a third… I from previous visits I’ve learned that this employee doesn’t know much about automotive vehicles.

Then later on he remembered that when he returned the adapter that he forgot to get his driver's license back from that arrogant smug retail worker.
So my friend goes back to the store the next day and that guy was there, he claims that he gave it back to him and he knows that because he set the keys on top of the license at the same time and handed them back to him when he left.. well, the guy never had both items at the same time... arrogant prick liar kid didn't care at the least to help or if he didn't really want to help he couldn't resist the temptation to be a extremely rude, our wishes is that if they won't fess up and give the license back that the corporate branch will see to it that disciplinary actions be taken to this individual that works at the store who is without a doubt, killing the sales and reputation at that AutoZone branch "Derek Wilcox" is his name, and that my friend at least get compensated to what it's going to cost to get a new license from the DMV.

I have always gone to AutoZone and had good experience, but recently, I did not have a helpful, friendly or reasonably customer satisfying experience at your Oceanside, Ca. 92058 store. I bought an item at the store, took it home, opened it, decided it wasn't the right one for me, wrapped it back up and took it back to the store for return, however the Manager was there and said that I couldn't get mt money back because I had opened it. I told him that I had to in order to see if it was the one that I wanted. Keep in mind that I did not use it, I just opened it and looked at it. He said that it was Company policy not to refund money for opened items. I looked at my receipt and it states that if a customer wants to return something that it needs to be in original condition. I felt that it was, and I, being the customer am right. I would like a response to this situation so I can know whether or not I need to shop at AutoZone anymore and if I need to review and EXPLAIN this return policy ONLINE to the major review board that I subscribe to. Thank you

NEVER GO TO THE AUTOZONE IN WEST MIFFLIN PENNSYLVANIA!!!! The manager, MIKE PEARCE, is the laziest, most inconsiderate man EVER!!!! Every time I have ever been in there while he was working he would sit on his bar stool behind the counter and do NOTHING! He is so quick to yell at his employees to do something or answer the phone while he sits on his fat lazy butt and plays with his cell phone. Not only that but I witnessed one time he mentioned to an employee that he got "refills on his happy pills" and he asked the associate if they wanted any! So Mike is a drug dealer as well!!!!! I hope this man is fired soon because I refuse to return to that store as long as he is there and I have MANY friends who own their own garages and shops and have commercial accounts set up thru this autozone that are going to be taking their business elsewhere.

I live in columbus ohio and I been going to the Autozone on West Broad street(address: 2141 W.Broad St store #:0787) for many years. One day me and my brother went there to get some Exhaust clamps (not the only thing we went to get) and when we walked in the door a lady (she was wearing glasses)at the counter was stearing at us right when we first walked in (no greeting no nothing). We went to the counter and asked the lady if they had 2 1/2 clamps for an exhaust... the lady looks at us very rudely and said "what do you need"! and when I nicely told her what we needed a second time, she went and got the product and quickly cashed me out. When I got home i found out that they gave me the wrong bolts... So I went back and saw the same lady and asked if she can give me the right bolts for the clamps. I gave her my recipt and the product back she looked at the product and said that I cut it and she knows for a fact that I only left for 10mins. I told her that I'll keep the clamp part just give me the right bolts (she was standing there trying to argue with me) then she turns around and points "theres some bolts over there that you can buy" (thats when I lost it) I said why would I need to buy new bolts when it came in the package?! the lady refuse to give me the right bolts so my brother and the lady got into an arugment and we ended up leaving with the wrong boltz! to end this horrible vist the whole time I was there was a waste of time. I want Autozone Corporate to know who in the world hires people like this!! I never go back to any autozone store! You lost your #1 Custmer !! (HORRIBLE SURVICE)

I wish that I could give their Autozone.com internet service an MINUS 5 stars! I placed an order on-line, the item showed to be in stock and would ship within 2 days. After 10 days I called to inquire about my order. The CS rep said that my order would be filled and shipped that day and I would recieve a confirmation number in my e-mail- guess again! I called again today and SPECIFICALLY asked to talk to a shift supervisor about my order- "They are all in meetings" was the reply.

Long story short... I have been promised that my order will now ship today via overnight service and I will recieve a tracking number and confirmation later today. I ain't holdin' my breath!

In the mean time, a stongly worded letter (yes, some people still write them) will be going to Autozone's Executive V.P. in charge of Customer Service.

I asked one of the employees for assistance with checking my power steering fluid. He said "no problem" and went out to my vehicle, popped the good, and pointed to something, opened it, and said that it was my power steering fluid and it was low and I needed to put more power steering fluid in. Trusting his "expert opinion", I bought what he grabbed off the shelf, and he poured it into my break fluid reservoir... Yes. He poured power steering fluid into my break line reservoir. I have received horrible customer service in regards to fixing my now ruined brake system and have been told by a regional manager that my car was safe to drive!!!! Getting autozone to fix their mistake is stressful and like pulling teeth!!!!! Jessicapalmer1987@hotmail.com. Contact me if you have any questions. Think twice before asking any employee for assistance!

Canada is only 14 miles from Massena Ny and lots of people shop there .

I always recommend AutZone to all who will listen. I say that AZ, like Midas, is especially woman friendly. I was at the AZ on Fulton by Cottage Way, Sacramento, CA before a long trip a couple of wks ago to buy wipers and a battery. The gentleman that assisted me, Tom V, went above and beyond to assist me. The store was very busy yet he still found the time to replace wipers and battery (this is what I mean by woman friendly, aside from also being honest/fair). It was especially hard to replace the battery as the radiator hose was hot, poor Tom was sweating, working hard and made me feel assured that the battery was in place correctly for my trip. Thank you Tom V and Auto Zone.

Michael Gauthier 8/25/11
I have just came home after spending a hour at autozone. They could not exchange my battery because the computer would not take the number. I had my receipt! No one has a bit of intelligence in that store, Shreveport, Louisiana. They acted like they just wanted me to leave and suck it up. I am a partime mechanic. I spend a ton of money in autozone for them to treat me like this. I will not go back. store 1334 Mansfield Rd.

Melissa 7/8/11
The Auto Zone in Bluffton SC management is less then helpful, rude, unkind and very nasty when asking for help with items or returning a part which was purchased from them and were given the wrong item to begin with. My experience has lead me to use another auto parts store in the future due to the manager there being Joe.

Michele 7/8/11
I placed on online order because I needed brake pads and rotors. The online system said it would ship in 2 days so I placed the order (confirmation email said the same thing, that it would ship in 2 days). I called at the end of the third day to inquire on the status and they haven't even processed my order yet. Was told maybe next week it will ship out and that it takes 5 days normally to process online orders. ??? I ordered these because I live in the mountains and didn't want to risk having to drive down after I lost a faulty break pad - now it's metal on metal - happened instantly). Yet, I'm to wait until they get around to 'processing' my order. Also, they didn't have my pads in stock nor have they even ordered from their vendor. I was left no choice but to cancel my order with them and I will have to drive down the mountain to get some because I cannot wait that long. I never would have ordered them from them if I knew this would take this long or THAT THEY WERE FALSELY promoting a 2-day shipping promise (not delivery but processing the order for shipment). I will not order from them again.

My daughters husband was just hired buy autozone in Dickson tn. for part time employment. He told them at the interview he hasen't worked in awhile because his 4 year old daughter has stage 4 cancer and has had chemo and radiation every week for a year that she had to be taken to. The make a wish foundation had scheduled her Disneyland trip the last part of august so he ask off for that week. I could not believe they told him he couldnt have off to go being as its a part time job anyway , they said a lot of people that work there would like to have a vacation too but they didn't get one, so he couldnt either. I'm very disappointed with manager Russel Crow over his comment. I certainly hope his feelings dosen't represent the rest of autozones managers or management. Ive done business there for years but I believe this has ended it for me.

I recently took a car battery into the Auto Zone in Carmi, IL., for replacement. I did not realize that it was still under warranty until the young man working behind the counter brought it to my attention. He asked me if I had a receipt and I explained that I did not. He then asked me if I had purchased the battery at Auto Zone and I stated that I did not but I told him that the local Ford dealer handles all of the maintenance on the vehicle (even though it is a Volvo), and that possibly the dealer had purchased the battery at Auto Zone for my Volvo. The young man, by the name of Joe Boyer, told me that the battery was definitely purchased at Auto Zone and that he would replace the battery at no cost because of it still being under warranty. I realize that technically he did not have to replace the battery but opted to do so. Joe Boyer won me over as a steady customer by being so helpful and courteous and by giving the extra effort. Joe Boyer should be commended for helpful attitude toward his customers.

Sincerely,

Ron Kingery

at the auto zone in deridder la. 70634 Mr. terry manager, was very unprofessional. i took a battery that was purchased their in 12/08. to have it charge or replaced.well iwas belittled and talk to like i was a two year old, you see i am somewhat firmilar, with car spelling is horriable.let me get to the point.the battery would not hold a charge so wanted to buy a new one,of course they couldnot find any record of this battery, so i am being punished for their stupidty.I needed a battery got questioned about a little dirt on the battery but it still look bran new terry tried to tell me the reason why the battery woulnot hold a charge, was because it was dirty, keep in mind this is your manager. the terminals where very clean, secured terminals. so know he said it was because it had one spot of dirt in the center of the battery no where in the battery terminal area. hey went in back after taking it to charge no receipt, mr. scott gave me a receipt, only because i ask for one your manager was in back being loud enough for the person in front of the store including me i am not a piece of shit because i am a woman, that manager should not be that manager.well needless to say i have to purchase a new battery got treated so bad i will never go back their again and we have alot of family in deridder and word of mouth is a very good for bad service. if their are any comments here is my email sburk36@yahoo.com. by the way i went to advanced auto parts and they are chargeing the battery you terry said was bad, if you want business, because you have lost a vauable customer. 337-460-0707

The store is in Castle Rock Colorado 80104
I understood it has already been forwarded to your management team? I got a call from Mario Colin 303-688-7762 on 7/15/2011 at 11:03 am telling me he would take care of it as he was in the store at the time. I could not go at that time so he INSURED me that anyone in the store could help me, he would make all party’s aware of the coupon.
I went in today a very nice man helped me find the products I needed for my car. Different from any of the products the other 5 times I had tried to buy oil and filters at your store. I had approximately $40 in merchandise but never got the final because again we never got past your coupon. Mario was in the store but the two employees said he was doing an interview and couldn’t talk to me. I argued with the another fellow and found it to be worthless as he remembered me from my prior visit and said no way can he use the coupon that Mario said he would take. This is the most ridiculous chain of events I have ever seen in my 64 years. WHY SEND THE COUPON IF YOU WON’T ACCEPT IT. I ASK SEVERAL TIMES IF THEY COULD ASK MARIO!
I WAS OFFERED ANOTHER BOTTLE OF SOME SUBSTANCE.

I took the Coupon into the store picked up $32.58+ tax in merchandise and gave the clerk the coupon he couldn’t do it so he called Pat Garrett to help. He said he can’t give me the coupon but offered me a small bottle (of some substance) there at the counter as compensation for not using the $5 off coupon that you sent me in the mail that expires on 7-9-2011 coupon # is 5294829275.

I have called Dwane Finly who is supposedly the Regional Manager as I have 7 e-mails that I have corresponded with you people to no avail. I called today and got a lady I couldn’t understand.. I was able to get Maria at the Regional Office. She was very nice and would follow thru for me. BELOW IN RED IS A JOKE RIGHT?

Auto zone was my go to parts store for my many vehicles. Recently, my nearest autzone on 2411 Saviers rd, In Oxnard CA has become complete and utter shit! Every single employee is incompetent and borderline mentally disabled. I dread having to go there, I much rather go spend 1- to 15% more for a part at the napa down the road. I would send a secret shopper and audit their service. Im never going there, I'd rather not drive my vehicle and wait for an online order from the many available options. Complete shit!

One instance, A highly decorated air force service man was in there for a few fuses. Older gentleman maybe 50's in uniform , highly decorated had to go as far as staring down an employee as they were in the back shooting the shit texting. Stood there and had to state"is somebody working here" This was my last straw, especially since I witnessed the two employees just look at the man. Once the man left and i was next" the incompetent employee went too far" She said, jesus he was freakin rude" never again. no more autozone

After reviewing the information of an Auto Zone office here in Tanmpa Florida it is clear to me that Corporate does not really care about their employees or if the store is getting ripped off internally. The amount of information I have been told as to improper actions by office managers is unreal. As to reporting it to Corporate I do not think they care. I am astonished corporate will not take action in such situations.

i purchased an engine from autozone and it was bored 60 over and was defective lasted 50 miles, autozone did replace with another rebuilt engine which was also defective and as of this date has not replaced my defective engine and continues to give me the run around, i am attempting to resolve this issue as soon as possible and unless resolved quickly have no alternative other than to file claims in small claims court in this state, please stand behind the products that are sold

Went to Autozone in Fremont Ca on July 3rd around 4:30pm for some truck parts. While waiting in line I heard someone yelling and swearing. When I looked behind me to see what it was I saw that it was an employee standing by the doors yelling and cursing on his phone and smoking. I dont know if he was on his break or what, but whatever the issue was it should not have been in ears distance. I feel of he is like that on the phone in front of people he is probably like that to everyone. I walked out because I don't want to take the chance of him being rude to me. I will be taking my business elsewhere and so will my friends and family.

Autozone, Inc should be ashamed of itself! First, they make their employees go outside in the 100+ degree burning weather to install batteries. Not only are they out there but the stores are very unequipped to do the job right. They could at least provide their employees with some shade to take cover from the heat. I was at an Autozone in San Antonio and witnessed another customer who was so angry at the employee because he wouldn't go out to install his battery. Finally the manager on duty told the kid to go do and he ended up going out to do. I feel bad that a company that says they promote good customer service cannot even take care of their employees. Happy employees means happy customers! I'm just lucky I wasn't that kid and Autozone should start making changes before people start suing them for neglecting employee health!

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE!!!! (North Gessner location) My experience has been equally HORRIBLE every time I visit this location. Seems that my husband and his friend have the same complaints. First, it takes forever to get help. Waiting by them at the counter while they're doing nothing, doesn't suggest to them you might need help. You will not be asked if you need help; you will have to ask for help. Then, be prepared to be there a w-h-i-l-e. Also, as a customer, don't expect to be treated with any courtesy, even by the management. I wasn't. I purchased a new battery and the attendant told me he be out in minute to put it in. 30 minutes later, I was still waiting. I walked back into the store and he was walking out with another customer to check their car. As he was walking out, I asked him if he forgot about me. He said that he didn't as he kept walking out with the other customers. I reminded him that I had already paid and had waited patiently for quite a while. I needed my battery so I could go. Annoyed, he told the other customers he would have to help me. He eventually installed the battery. Again, a HORRIBLE experience. I will not go back to that Auto Zone.

your store in shively 3930 dixie hwy, louisville, kentucky is the worst store i have ever been into. the manager rob gave money back on a rewards card to one of his friends. he lied his way out of it. the girl sharon is having sex with other employees in the back room. they fired someone the other day and they are going around telling us customers all this employees business!! which is wrong because the one they fired was the best employee they had. he was the only reason why i went to shop there. he was always helpful unlike these other fools. they all sit in the backroom ALL THE TIME!! with one employee waiting on customers and answering the phones. i waited in line for 40 minutes the other day!! and i know all these things because i know all these sorry ass people that work in this store!! something needs to be done!! personal business about ex employees should not be conveyed to customers at no time especially coming from the manager or the gray shirts!! THEY ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and something needs to be done about it!!The manager fired someone for drinking a soda at 4 in the morning during truck and paying for it the next day, BUT HE GAVE BACK MONEY ON A REWARDS CARD TO HIS FRIEND!! where is the justice in that!! HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIRED WHEN THEY FOUND OUT ABOUT IT!! IMMEDIATELY!! HE DIDNT PAY THAT MONEY BACK ON THAT REWARDS CARD!! is this fair at all????? NO IT IS NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

I was treated with the most horrible digrace anyone should have to go through. When I called up to our local Autozone I was told by some hispanic employee that maybe my husband should talk to him cause he'd know more than what I did about the part. Excuse me, I may have tits but I know a hell of a lot about working on cars and I sure in the hell do not appreaciate that one bit. After we got the part (they had to order in because they dont carry it, and the store is porrly stocked) they ordered the wrong part. I finally had enough and walked 3 block in upper 90 degree heat to take the part back and to talk to the manager to which he was rude, and told me that I was putting the part on wrong. Again, I knew how the part went on, im not stupid! i will never go back to your store and will start ordering my parts through the Ford Motor Company instead, they're even cheaper than your crap!

Friday June 10th I woke up to a dead battery in my truck. I had no one to help me. I live hear an AutoZone and called them. I spoke to Kyle the mgr. He told me he would come to my house and bring me a battery plus he would install it for me. He saved the day! I then drove to the store to pay for it. He literally saved my rear end that day. I was 2 hours late to work, but at least I got there. THANK YOU KYLE!

i just made a call to auto zone on ann rd and let the phone ring for 10minutes and nobody answered the phone,i got mad and called another store on craig and simmons rds and wanted to talk with the manager and waited another 10 minutes nobody came to talk top me so i hung up the phone, now, if the managers in these stores don't care for their job , i'll gladly take it from them,i absolutely know how to treat the customer, i had ny own business for twenty years....when the phone rang i answered the phone regardless who was on the other end,,the question i have for you is a simple one if you care about generating more business for your business, who takes priority when the phone rings,,,the customer standing at the counter,or the person on the phone...because , if i'm at the counter and the phone rings ,i stand there till the guy gets down helping the customer on the phone,if i call in ,i have to wait till the guy gets done with his customer,,,now what is wrong with this picture,,,,,even,,, mcdonalds takes care of the people at the drive thru first....i think you people are loosing your shirt and another was loyal customer....
if you have the nerve as a ceo or whatever you are to call: my name is jerry and my phone number is 702-373-1470 these locations i mentioned are in the 89031 zip code

We have had to replace the same strut on our car 4 times this year because of defective struts purchased at AutoZone in Albany, GA. Even with a warranty on the strut and an original store receipt, they do not want to refund the entire price. The assistant manager says the manager has to refund it at the original price, but the manager is never there. After two days of the run around, corporate will get a call. With several other car part stores in the area, AutoZone will not get any more of our business.

Donna Kauffman 6/7/11
I was having an issue with my car starting and went to your store #1454, on Veterans Memorial and in Houston Texas, which I have visited in past and have always received excellent customer service, however I was told by Stewart that he couldn't tell me what was wrong with my car since he left his crystal ball at home.........I was taken back like some one had slapped me.......O'Reilly down the street told me I needed a new battery cable which I purchased from them and will be doing all my business with them and will be telling EVERYONE I know about your crystal ball policy.

I have the displeasure of changing a "Lifetime Warranty" Starter on my 2000 Dodge Cummins after 20,000 miles. I noticed the product was re-manufactured in China when I put it in. That should have clued me in that it was junk, a $279.00 piece of junk.

Why do you buy JUNK from China and sell it to the American public? If you have a reputable US company do the work your returns would drop by a HUGE margin. The local diesel expert stopped using your China junk starters since he had a 100% failure rate. He is even SPONSORED by Auto-Zone and will not use the China junk.

Shame on you for putting Americans out of work so your corporate bottom line looks good for one more quarter. Short sighted narrow-minded Corporate Weenies are a HUGE part of America's problems.

Richard 6/4/11
I was recently in your store in King NC to purchase an oil change advertised at the door for $17.99. It rang up much higher at the register, and when I questioned the price, I was told by the manager that he could not change a price in the register, so he couldnt sell me the oil at the advertised price. They were also very rude!!! Having been an Auto Zone customer for many years, let it be known that today will be the last time I step foot in one of your stores!!!!!!!!!!

Parimal 5/24/11
I have bought two struts from Autozone.com on 5/17 (order number 282449833) but have not received any info since then. i have emailed twice and called up customer service to day - still no response. the guy on the phone said that he will check and call me back. still nothing!! Whats going on?

Sean Sr. 5/29/11
Well Ive been to other parts houses in my day but i will always shop at Autozone, Ive felt ignored at XL parts house, overlooked at the oreilly, and treated less of a customer if i wasnt a shop at napa. Autozone really stands out, there is a difference. Im not saying i havent had a bad experience or two but there is always someone who knows what they are doing fixing the issue unlike other situations at other parts houses who just dont care because they have wholesale customers they care more about Thanks my opinion.

Called your newberg Oregon store-to price/purchase a cat converter for 97 chevy- gave girl detailed information-was told "cannot not even find it in they system-we must not carry them" she was in a hurry and less than helpful-called shucks-had a quote in less than 3 mins---guess who got my business??? geeez train your people if you want business

JC 5/15/11
I am wondering why store managers do not enforce the signs stating that working on vehicles is not permitted. I visited a store today that looked like a junk yard in the parking lot. The parking lot had recently been repaved and already there is coolant, oil and other debris from people working on their vehicles and leaving the premises looking like a junk yard. By allowing this practice to continue, your store managers are allowing your stores to look unprofessional and more importantly allowing your stores to be safety hazards. They are an eye-sore in their communities. Please tell your store managers to enforce the policies posted.

I will be filing a complaint with the city of Alexandria, Va and county of Arlington, Va.

Whatever happen to customer service. I to call several time before someone answered the phone and then was on hold so long I just hung up and called oriellys. Auto zone is going down hill fast. I suggest that allreader start a boycott. NO MORE AZ UNTIL THEY GET THE PICTURE.

I was at the Eastpointe, MI stire 244550 Gratiot. 586-773-3729 and was very unhappy with service I recived from the manager Helen. I was doing just fine with an employee Jeremiah. I had got the wrong part so I came back with my husband to exchange the part I had informed the worker Jeremiah and he went to get the correct part. Well here come the"manager" Helen asking Jeremiah what was he doing and not to return the part he infromed her I had the receipt and had just purchased it earlier that day. Meanwhile he is goes in the back she says oh he's new so I will take care of you. Needless to say she got the parts confused and I will never go to Autozone again the way she spoke to her employee was disrepectful. Jeremiah apologized for the mishap. I have not seen him in the store I was told he was transferred out Helen should go not the employee that tried to assist me and my husband. I WILL NOT BE BACK

Hello

I just called the autozone store in Jackson, michigan. @ 734-6626545. The first person that answered was very rude to me. I ask a price for a part and it was almost double of what O'really's part was. I like buying parts from autozone. Anyway as I was explaining this the guy hung up on me. This type of service is inappropriate and I will consider taking my busyness some where else.
I called back and ask for a manger and Tony answer. I ask him his last name and he was very rude to me. And also hung up on me. If I own this store and would check some community classes on communication for this two men. This is not serving the public in the right way.

I hope you look into this, and please contact me if you need any further information.

RESPECTFULLY

Steve A. Mullins

Recently had to do front pads and rear cylinders to pass inspection. Virginia Beach, Tim, # 2008 was extremely helpful. Had two damaged boots on cylinders, they exchanged parts with no hassle.

I saved 500 dollars by doing the work myself and Auto Zone was a great help with great service. Thanks Virginia Beach Auto Zones.

I live in Brighton, MI and go to a Auto Zone Store on E. Grand River here in Brighton. I was having some trouble with the driver side windshield wiper it was raining pretty hard and I stopped by the Auto Zone because the wiper was not performing as it should have been. I'll cut to the chase an employee by the the name of Art K. is my hero. He found the problem and fixed it out in the pouring rain. The wiper on the drivers side needed to be adjusted and he got his tools and went to work and fixed the problem for me. You company should be very proud of Art K. and I hope he gets some much deserved praise for going beyond the type of mediocre service offered by most companies these days. Art K. is truly a valuable employee and should be treated as such by your company. I also would like to mention the young man who first tried to help but when things didn't go his way he because disgusted and when I asked him what I could do to fix the problem he just shrugged his shoulders and walked away. That's when Art K. asked what the problem was and went to work and fixed it.I would suggest that young man needs some training when it comes to customer service and how to deal with people.

HORRIBLE SERVICE 4/3/11
I went to Auto Zone in Charleston, SC today. Tried to return something without a reciept. The guy looked it up in the system. Then told me it had no warranty, and then told me to wait on the manager to see what he says. So the manager told me I couldn't return it, because the guy couldn't find it in the system. Then even though he did, he turned around and said he didn't find it. Which was a lie. So I didn't make an issue out of it. I guess I'll just be out of 70.00 for something I cannot use, because I no longer drive that vehicle. I asked the manager for a dianostic test, and he told me that it could be several things; from my water pump going bad, or my sensor, or thermostate. He never went outside to check. I thought the point of the test would be to tell you what the problem possibly is. Guess I came to close to closing time, and he wanted to go home and feed himself. Instead of going to a gym, and loosing the 300 extra unneeded pounds he manage to pack on over the years. I WILL NEVER EVER BUY Anything else from AUto Zone. I will go to Advance Auto or Parks. Will be calling tomorrow to file a complaint.

scott 3/17/11
I dont know if its just me or what, but I ordered two things from the store and for the following two days i recieved no order or shipping confirmation email saying wether or not they have recieved the order. from my experience, most online stores usually send an instant automated email saying that the order has been shipped. So I typed the order number into their package tracking and it said that it was being process. Yesterday I contacted them on their site with my order number and not the tracking status says shipped. I have no idea if I should believe it because I still havent received a single email from autozone. Hopefully this doesnt turn out to be as bad as my experience with NAPA. that was weeks of sending emails and making calls on parts that they claim to be shipping by a certain date but when you call a few days after that, they say they dont have the part.

My question for autozone is WHY NO CONTACTING THE BUYER VIA EMAIL??

MAD Mechanic 3/18/11
This corporation is the epitome of terrible,I will never EVER shop at Autozone garbage ever again in my entire life. I was on a timeline, had a heatercore job and the customers car was in pieces in the shop, I called AZcommerical and they said they had it,so I go there and brought the part back;it was 10 YEARS OFF!

Dale Merrieifld 3/21/11
I purchased a set of front axles for my Acura that were supposed to come with a life time warranty from your store #5936 in Temecula, CA off of Winchester. I replaced them once before with no issues. When I tried to exchange them again yesterday, It turns out that my warranty info was some how deleted from your records. I had my original receipt with me and the manager told me that the receipt was no good and that they only go off whats in the system. After looking at my axle, he then tried to accuse me of trying to return original equipment that was on the car when purchased. After arguing with him for over 20 minutes, he told me that if I wanted, he could give me a 10% discount on another axle. After telling him that I didn't want to buy another axle since I had a lifetime warranty, He told me that I should just go to Kragens or Pep boys. After yesterday, my racing team (all 15 of us) will never shop at your stores again. When word gets out, I'm sure other teams will follow suit.

gil 3/12/11

Been shopping at AutoZone for a long time.
Would you please carry these new battery connectors called
Gator Loc. I met the guys who developed them at the last SEMA Show in Vegas.
I never saw anything like them and would like to purchase a couple pairs.
When will you be carrying the product line?

All the best,
Chris

I visited the 900 South Memorial Drive Autozone in Greenville, NC at 8:53pm on 03/01/2011. I asked the clerk on staff could he perform a diagnostic test on my 2001 Jetta. I saw my "check engine" light came on & I was concerned. He told me "its after hours." Due to the deplorable level of customer service, I'll gladly relate my experience to everyone I know. I personally will never visit another autozone store ever. The service deserves a negative ten.

nicholas prom 3/3/11
i actually work for autozone right know but when i was a mechanic i used to buy a lot of parts from autozone to do side work and it seemed like every electrical part like starters and alternators were junk they broke and i would have to work on the car all over again and replace the same part again which pissed me off. I wished i was still working at carquest there parts are much higher quality and they don't break as much. I am currently looking for a new job because everyone in this company lies and doesn't tell the truth

Autozone.com - worst service I've ever seen.....

I just spoke to Audrey & was told that the last notes on my acct were for a replacement of the lower control arm that I never recvd. What kind of service training do your reps get? Because it seems like communication & updating customer accounts is not part of it. The rep I spoke to on 2/16 told me she was entering a request for a refund. Today I get told that that request was never entered, but that an order had been placed for a replacement? Needless to say I have neither my money or my part. Of course I shouldn't be surprised because I've also not recvd the courtesy of a response to my many requests for a status update via email or phone call from your "customer service" dept since 2/15. I was just told by Audrey that she would send an "urgent" request for a refund that would take about 3-5 days!!!! This makes day 10 that I have been trying to get this issue resolved.

I am not some maladjusted crybaby. I am a customer & also someone who has worked in the customer service industry for over 15 years. I am in the Quality Control Dept of QVC & I monitor calls daily - working with mgrs., training & our service reps to make sure that our customers are taken care of as quickly & professionally as possible. Why it takes so long to process a refund for a non-receipt is beyond explanation. I understand that the item was a special order, why should that delay the refund process? Why was my acct notated on 2/16 for a replacement & not the refund that I requested? Why have I sent out 4 emails & made 4 phones (for a total of 44 minutes) and still I sit here with no part & no refund? This is one of the worse examples of "customer service" that I have ever seen or recvd.

I will wait 1 more week before filing a complaint with the BBB. Meanwhile, I will be going online to several different consumer advocate websites/blogs & posting my experience with your organization.

Wish you had 0 stars, that's what I would rate your company.
Worked there 6 years, and was treated like dirt every second of every day!
Your store manager and district manager have absolutely NO business in their positions. I have been working for 42 yrs., and in auto parts for 34 yrs.
Without a doubt, the WORST company I ever worked for. I have happily left the company recently, and your Louisville region is STILL stealing from me.
I was told by the HR manager I would recieve my remaining vacation pay I was not allowed to take by the store manager of 0699, and am still owed a bonus check.
WHERE IS IT!!!
Must be another lie, and stealing from employees. That's just the lieing and stealing--I won't mention all the illegal stunts this DM and store manager make common practice.

Every person I run across will hear about your stealing and lieing.
This kind of action will put you out of business, thank God.

I recently contacted your store in Creedmoor North Carolina and im very unhappy with the service. The first call I asked a young man if he had the part I was looking for he said no. I called back in ten minutes and another man said yes we can order that part for you. He said it will be here in 3 days. I called the third day no part. The 4th day no part. the 5th i called back because i didn't receive a call. The man told me that the part has been here for 2 days. He said the part was here 3 days ago. In the mean time I spent $120.00 extra on a rental car due to the poor performance by several of your employees. I pick up the part and the part won't fit my car. I called back and I asked if another company makes the same part. The man told me NO we DO NOT show another company offering the same part. My wife carried the part back and they sold her the same part different brand. The new brand $48.00 more than the one I had already bought. I called around and found the part for $18.00 dollars cheeper than the original price. The part will take another 3 days and i still don't know if it will work and in the mean time im spending more money on a rental car...THANKS AUTO ZONE.....

I was an autozone fan for many years knew everyone that worked at the local Rockfalls,Il. store. Then for some reason all those people either quit or were fired. I have seen a few of them since and was told how bad it was to work for autozone and the people there at that store sight are rude and hate to say this but completely STUPID. I may be female ,but I do know things about automobiles. And I know that I have went to their regional a few times, they have always tried to make it better with giftcards...after the last time visiting there I decided to drive 12 miles away to your Dixon store to find that obviously it is true your an equal opportunity employer and you will hire anyone... Although at your Dixon store I have had better treatment with a few of your staff and I make it a point to get names for this very reason...There is a James, Dan,Janice,Rob and Jason that work there truely hard workers and devoted and will take the time to make sure you have everything you need and very courteous. Then you have John and Mike that completely ruin your store name. I was dumb founded by when I ordered a part there a few weeks ago when inverntory was being taken(at least thats what I was told)A man named Mike took my order told me it would be 2 days I told him I would be in on Friday (ordered on Tuesday) Went Friday to pick it up and it wasn't there, I was then told the DM sent it back because they were doing inventory on Monday. My part would have been out of the store and big deal if they wouldve had to count another part this shows me your DM is lazy and cares less if they have customers at this store. But I still returned on Friday the 28 of January 2011 to find that the Dm was there and the store mananger John and they were talking about another employee and how they were going to fire him. Im sorry but I'm sure they have an office to talk privately and not share with all the store customers.. Hopefully you can send in someone that has been in their shoes that understands how important it is to be courteous to customers. And sort out the bad eggs you have, starting at the top DM and down.. Any corporation hopefully knows enough to go in and talk to all the employees one at a time for privacy to find out what is going on in their store.. I really suggest you do this... If I find out that it is one one the employees that makes me comfortable when I walk in your store in Dixon that has been let go, I will never shop at another autozone and will voice my opinion with the newspaper and will post it everywhere I can to make sure everyone knows about autozones stores around this area and by reading the other post on here doesn't make me feel any better about your stores, but also realizing that Im not being singled out with hateful but yet stupid people... We have an O'reilly's and Napa and I know alot of people that would listen if we have to boycott Autozone and it wouldn't be good publicity for your stores.... Truely sorry that you have had to inconveince people...

for the first time ever i ordered online. what a mistake. the website said that everything would ship within two days. well after a week and no email or phone call i called them, and needless to say they informed me that it would take about three days to process the order. i waited three days still no email or phone call. i called them up again and the assistant informed me that the package was shipped and that i should recieve it that day. well i did recieve it. my struts that i ordered where opened and missing the hardware. they did not ship me the fuel pump i ordered so i called them up for the third time. the assistant again who could barely speek english went over my order and said that someone will be calling me later on in the day about the fuel pump that was not shipped. never recieved a call from them. i called them back that same day at five o'clock my time, and asked to speak to the manager. that took all of about thirty minutes on a dead line with no music or anything. when i spoke with the manager i was surprised to be talking to someone again who couldn't speek english. he had informed me that my fuel pump was a special order item, and that it was not in yet. he said he was going to find out what was going on with it, and email me the status of what was going on, and he was also going to ship me the missing parts to my struts overnight. needless to say i have herd nothing from him by neither phone or email. i have not recieved anything from fed ex, and i am pist. i have a car that has been out of commission for almost two weeks when it should only be two to three days. if i had to do it again i will never order anything from autozone online. it is a all out joke. the people are unprofessional and fill you up with false hopes if you can understand them. when monday comes i am going to get my money back from the fuel pump, and buy it from summit racing. they speak english, they call, and email you back, and you always get your package in two days. if it is special order they have the brains to let you know. even if it is special order you still recieve it in a decent amount of time not two frickin weeks. not happy. i have used autozone for the past thirty years, and i am slowly getting away from the b***sh**!

I visited Autozone, Chesterfield, MI. in a panic. I had a problem with my truck early on Sunday morning. I was in a bad situation, I had a large group of people waiting on me. I drive a foreign vehicle and I didnt no what was what under my hood. The customer service rep. (John Barbret) was amazing. He went above and beyond to help me. He went outside with me and helped me get my truck operating and I made it to my destination safely. I was only 10mins late compaired to not showing up at all. John saved the day. I offered to buy him a gift card and he said no thank you. John is the kind of employee that should be rewarded! Thank you so much. I will always go to autozone because of John.

Fear of termination 1/15/11
I have worked at AutoZone now for a little over a year in Fountain,Co. I have 18 years experience in management as a fleet manager and service manager. I would never treat my people as badly as AutoZone does! Everything you are told to do is under threat of termination! Never a kind word from the district manager. Absolutely no respect at all! It's been my experience that to earn respect you need to give respect. I always praised my people for a job well done. Or we need to work together to improve on our faults. Not I'm going to fire you next time I come in and things are not perfect! Or call all the other employees 'Hey You' instead of calling them by thier names. We do all wear name tags! Corporate needs to take a good hard look at how they are treating employee's.

Auto Zone sold me a faulty starter (wired backwards) back in March 2010. This caused my engine to run opposite and cause damages to my timing and spark. A total of $1700.00. I filed a claim in April. Its now December. And I still have not seen a dime from this. These people are the WORST to deal with. DO NOT EVER buy from them again. I am warning you DO NOT BUY.

As I was standing there filling out the form at the store, an employee sat there and told me story after story how their parts in their store alone has caused damage to many cars, even causing one to burst into flames.

DO NOT BUY FROM AUTO ZONE! Your will regret it.

on november 21st 2010 at about 10:30 am, i visited the autozone store on broad st in new orleans for a quart of motor oil.on the isle i begain shopping for my item, looking up at the selection,i slipped and immediately felt a sharp pain in the muscle of my upper thigh.upon moving my foot back in position, i realized i had slipped in oil. a few feet ahead was a mop and bucket. i sent my son to call someone to simply write a report incase i experienced any problems from the incident. i waited about 5 minutes before someone came, then someone named Byron came and before i could explain what happened he left, i then waited another 10 minutes before another person showed up.when i asked about the first person,i realized he was there to move the bucket and mop, then replaced them with a caution sign.this person did not want to talk to me at all.the first person i'm now told is on the phone with the manager.i took pictures of the floor with my cell phone and walked to the front of the store to wait somemore.
finally Byron comes out wait a peice of paper in which he asked 4 questions,( name, date of birth and address).
nothing else. I couldn't get a copy, because of course there's no copy machine.
also there was no courtesy,no concern,no training.
this was trully an example of lack of human interaction on any level.

I ordered a wiper motor on line Nov 3rd, at the time I placed the order the status was availble, since I did not have wiper's I paid for two day shipping. I waited until Nov the 8th to check the status since I had not received it yet. I called their site they told me that they were out of stock, but I should receive it Nov 12th. Well Nov 12th came still no wiper motor I wasted another 20 min on the phone to find out that for s0me reason my order was cancelled and I would have to place a new order.only I placed a new order and was promised that I will receive it by Nov 16th at the latest. Nov 16th came still no part so another 20 min waiting for them to tell me the status, which at least someone was honest enough with me to tell me that this order was cancelled also because they have no clue when they will get the part.
My advice to everyone out there is to shop somewhere else on line, beside's being clueless about their orders I got the feeling that I was lied to just to get me to hang up. It was bad enough never being contacted by phone or email to let me know my order never shipped.

I'm a customer from your Tampa FL stores, I've been in all your stores in that district #1212,#1205,#592,#1227 etc, I know must of the staff in this district by name and position, your district is full of very good employees but is also run by a district manager with no class (Luis Palacios), he abuse the good workers and give praised to the ones that suck up to him in particular to females,(lawsuit waiting to happen). You people should look into, he has very closed relation with females and them they become managers overnight it don't matter wether they know even how to speak english, the real hard workers are push aside because they remain loyal to auto zone and not to (Luis Palacios).
I also had witness how the store managers and (luis Palacios)treats those red shirt employees you have in your stores when they are the ones I see working harder then any one else.
Be nice to your low level employees.

So about 4 weeks ago I went to the auto zone here in Tucson, Arizona to find out why my air in the car was not blowing cold like it should be. I was told I needed freon so i bought a 10oz can and really never put it in before so all I did was ask someone to show me where to put it and the man said" oh don't worry about it I will do it for you" Fine I said and he put the first can in. At this point my wife who was in the car said it is blowing good and he told me" well sir the can took really fast we need to put in a 5oz can at it should be really cold so again I bought another can at which time he took from me and put it in. We drove off and all of a sudden the air was like we were in a oven, now mind you it was already 105 degrees and I had my wife and 2 toddlers in my car. So after that I went back to tell them what happend and they said sorry just take your car to a mechanic and we will reinburse you. Ok i said so long story short $100.00 for the rental car and $300.00 for the fix and they are giving me the run around about my claim and it may not even be paid. NO MORE AUTO ZONE I HATE THEM

jason 10/14/10
By the way I failed to mention they blew my whole air unit

theres alot of things that can be said about the autozone d.c in lexington. number one they have people there that work really hard, but they dont get apreciated for it. the harder you work the more work they expect you to do. its also alot of people there that shouldve been fired along time ago, for some of the rules they have broken but it was all over looked noone said a word. so they pick and choose who they like and who they dont. yeah they may smile in your face ask you how your day is going, thats ther job there gonna do that. they dont care about you they only care about getting the work out so the d.c will look good. they tell you if it wasnt for the employees doing the job well it wouldnt be done. true. if they really say what they mean then show the workers or pay them for the hard work they do. and dont just say job well done.and bout taking sides dont just take one persons side of a story just because you may like them more.iknow from experience worked there for many years. i miss the people that i worked with. i did my job very well. i wish i was given a second chance but i wasnt. read the handbook on some of the decisions you make AUTOZONE.D.C IN LEXINGTON. ther really not being followed.
comment to michelle peck i understand you about tara at medlink and lori reeves thats not fair to you or anybodyelse.

I have been a customer of Auto Zone since the business opened in Utah several years ago. I have almost always been treated somewhat professionally, but today the camels back was broken. I went to the local AutoZone store on 7800 South in West Jordan, UT a couple weeks ago and bought an item that turned did not fit the application I was going to use it for. Today, I was in the neighborhood and brought it back for a refunds. (The item had not been used in any way.) When I enterd the store, there were five other customers present besides myself. Two were at the parts counter, two were shopping and one was at the checkout register. I stepped in behind the person at the register, who was waiting for one of the sales persons to find a box in the stack incoming boxes of parts. I waited patiently for about five or minutes until the sales person found the box somewhere else in the store. After the sales person rang up his sale, I stepped to the counter to be waited on. In the meantime, the two shoppers found their item and stepped to the line to be waiated on. When I stepped up to the counter, the sales person said I was in the wrong line. He didn't ask what I wanted or anything, but assumed I was buy the item I was returning. When he discovered I was returning something, he got frustrated and "rattled" and said, "You have to get in the other line". I was at the head of the line, or in other words, I was the next customer to be taken care of, so I don't know what "other line" he was referring to. I had been standing there now for nearly 10 minutes, patiently, waiting to get my refund and move on with my business, but the sales persons remark infuriated me and I threw the item in one of the boxes on the floor and walked out. BAD, BAD BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! I am so mad that I have told the rest of my family never to shop in an AutoZone business again because of this rude service. My dollars may be few, but we do spend a considerable amount each year for parts and accessories in that and other AutoZone stores. Not anymore. From now on I will recommend Checker, Bradshaw, NAPA or any other store before I step into a AutoZone store again. You have good parts, but service is what brings me back everytime. Sorry, AutoZone. You lose.

I posted a review as you can see prior to this one.I purposely did not read any of those prior reviews . I went back today to see if my review had been posted and read all of the re view's prior to the date I posted one. It says this is not affiliated to Auto Zone but I sure hope they are reading them other than my review every one had something bad to say about your customer service and how most of your counter people deal with the public. I don't care if you gave the parts away your people are what sells and represents the company and it's leadership. Good Luck

I WAS TREATED VERY BADLY TODAY AT ONE OF YOUR STORES HERE IN MACON GEORGIA. The store is located on vineville ave. An employee by the name of TASHA COLE MUST BE BIPOLAR OR ASOMETHING. SHE SEEMS TO THINK SHE CALLED ME TO INFORM ME ABOUT A PART I AHD BEEN CALLING ABOUT FOR HOURS. SHE HAD THE MOST TERRIBLE ATTITUDE AND EVEN STARTED CUSSING ME OUT ABOUT THE PART. I WAS SO SHOCKED AND IN DISBELIEF. ESPECIALLY SINCE SHE IDENTIFIED HERSELF AS BEING THE MANAGER WHEN I ASKED FOR ONE. I MUST SAY, I WILL NEVER SHOP AT ANOTER AUTOZONE IN MY LIFE. OREILY IS WHERE I WILL BE SPENDING MY MONEY. THE INFORMATION THEY HAVE ON THEIR STORE WINDOWS TO REACH DISTRICT MANAGERS ARE FALSE INFORMATION. THEY THINK PEOPLE DONT HAVE SINCE TO GO ONLINE AND GET THE REAL INFO. WHICH IS WHAT I DID TONIGHT. I CANT BELIEVE THIS, IM STILL SHOCKED AND HURT BY IT.

Recently I purchased some parts for my 91 Toyota on Auto Zones Web site I found all my parts and numbers along with a description I was buying a radiator it said it was a 3 row copper core with a brass tank the picture looks identical to the original equipment .What I got was a radiator with plastic tanks and the core looks like a over sized 2 row made out of aluminum.I went back to ask the guys about it at the store where I picked it up they told me that was all they could get. Don't get me wrong it may be just fine but fix your web site so it shows what you are selling I would have went a different path for a radiator. I know all the new vehicles have plastic radiators I just feel mislead ,I have in the past had good luck with your company I don't want to see that change.

I just wanted to let you know that there was an employee that got into an accident with one of your delivery vehicles in Michigan (about two weeks ago) and she supposably totaled the truck. When she contacted the store she still works at to let the store manager and district manager know about her accident she informed the store mgr. that she had smoked marijuana the night before - they asked her to come to the store so they could help her clean out her system to go for a drug test. I guess you condone drugs in your company and I will NEVER shop there again - and I have told other family members and friends as well - so you have lost a minimum of six customers at this point because of this situation and I am sure you will loose more. Someone better check into this and this girl really should loose her job - along with all the managers at that location (Clarkston or Pontiac - I think).

I have been employed at your dc since Feb 2010 through Manpower. In May I was moved from Recall to Pick to Light. I worked hard, always came in early, always offered to stay late if we got done early and always had a positive attitude. In July my Advisors recommended me for a permanent position. I was told by Lori Reeves in HR that she was too busy to get my paperwork done and it would be "a while"
After several attempts she finally sent me for a drug test on 8/18. I went to Medilink. I wasn't able to give them the full sample they said they needed. The woman there, Tara dumped out my sample and told me to "Go next door to the convenience store to get a Coke and come back in 30 minutes." I had to run to Walgreens so I went to town, got a drink & a birthday card for my daughter. When I got back to medilink Tara had left. I was told by another staff member to "come back later" Shortly after leaving, I received a call from Manpower telling me I'd just been terminated. When I asked why, he said because I'd left the drug screen. I called Lori Reeves and explained what had happened. She could not have cared less and was extremely rude. She said you cannot leave the premises during a drug test and Tara told her that she told me she would go next door and get me a drink. When I went back to speak with Tara in person and ask her to please tell the truth, she sent another employee out to talk to me. The liar couldn't face me. On 8/18 and at 8am on 8/19 I called Joey Hamm the dc manager and explained the problem. He said he'd talk to Lori & get back to me. 7 hours later I called him again. This time Lori intercepted my call and told me she believed Tara, I was lying and they would not consider hiring me or even let me go get my personal effects from my locker. I have been an autozone customer for many years and so have my family and friends which now include 300 Facebook friends. Most of which will not be coming back into an autozone store again. The sad thing is that during my interview the operations manager Greg asked me what I liked most about working at autozone and I replied, "The way this company treats their employees." I was obviously mistaken.

My husband and I visited your store in Acworth Georgia on Cobb Parkway at Mars Hill. We were looking for a product to help repair a few scratches on our two vehicles. We approached the counter and told the young man what we needed. His response was "I don't know anything about that. If we have anything it would be in aisle two." And that was that. It was as if he felt his pay grade did not require him to come out from behind his counter and help us find what we needed. This happened on Sunday August 9 late morning/early afternoon. We realized that we did not need this type of attitude and left immediately. From there we went to O'Reily Auto Parts, spoke to another young man who gladly came with us to find what we need. Efficient and pleasant. You have just lost a family of customers.

aug 8 2010 4:37 pm. i needed a vehicle speed sensor for my honda accord. i called one of your store#3734 to find out if part is available.salesman said it was available.so i drove in to the store and when i came in,there was this young salesman wearing a red shirt looking at me from the time i walked in like i was going to steal something.so i came up to him and the only words that came out of his mouth was;;;can i help you or something.there was no greeting like thank you for coming to autozone how may i help you sir.i was thinking,i have been doing business with autozone for 20 years and this was going to be the first time that im going to be treated bad.so i told him what i needed and he gave me the first item.and when he asked me if i needed something else,i told him yes.so on i told him it was for another car.what made me upset was when he told me that oh you could have told me that earlier.when i finished paying.he dropped the receipt without saying thank you have a nice day pease comeback.sometimes peaople need to care of what they do to suceed.this young man did not want to work there.idrove 40 minutes from my home to this store#3734 to get what i needed because this store is the only one that had it.on my way there thinking that i was going to be treated right like the past 20 yrs.i guess iwas wrong.people like that give your good name a bad name.makes me think twice from now on if iam ever going back to auto zone.your parts aare great but great parts alone are not enough.
