| hello all i have worked for ihop for about 5 years been with the store im at now for almost 2 months although it feels like forever. Im a very big people person and truley enjoy my job as a waitress, although the management and owners are disrespectful and very discrimatory to those who do not have sexual relationships with them yes i said sexual relationships!!! in this store you are who you sleep with. if you are sleeping with one of them you are a ok!! if not you are screwed!!! the whole back of the house are illegal immigrants and the front of the house is a zoo... some servers who really take their jobs to heart and others who could care less. we are treated like slaves not people, so many things to do that a server in another place wouldnt ever be asked to do. on to the next problem payroll is done by family so when they dont pay overtime nobody knows but their family that way nobody gets in trouble. we have to pay 15 dollars a week out of our check for drinks in which we can not take home nor can we put them in a styraphome cup.... no coacoa juice milk or any other special drink only soda. food is discounted 50% which is crap considering that other ihops i have been at u are allowed up to 7 dollars in free food anything over you pay, and you may take drinks home considering you pay 15 a week to do so. management is a big joke they are on a power trip and act as though we are in their country .... these people are from iran!!! have heard them tell employees that their emotional status and financial situation isnt their problem! i thought that a manager/owner was supposed to be the one to talk to when you have a problem or need help with a problem, not at this store. they cut cost in anyway possible, for example saturdays and sundays we have expos who are not on the clock each server has to give each expo 5 dollars thats 17 times 5 which means they easily walk out with more than some servers who bust their asses all day make. last i checked it wasnt the servers responsibility to pay their payroll!! as for bus boys and girls they only recieve a dollar a piece from the servers and they are the ones working the hardest. all and all i have never seen anything like this in my life i find it to be very unfair and inhumane the way these people treat others down to customers!!! please if you work in the food service industry consider the ones you work around and how hard they work and what they are there working for most of us are single moms that are their to take care of the children we have at home. |
Ex-employee | 1/30/12 |
| I was recently fired from the Bellevue Wa ihop because I accidentally served a cockroach and was unaware of it being there! The place is infested, health dept been notified and nobody did anything. I worked as many as eight to nine hours without a clock out break every week, the managers name is johnathan terpstra and he is discriminatory towards good servers! He also knocks time off my paycheck and makes employees pay 2.50 per day for food whether you eat or not! Some employees steal tables and he babies those same people. His scheduling is NEVER consistent, and he will cut your days if you confront him in anyway about something you don't agree with. Overall, this is not a clean or safe place to eat! |

| we were just at the ihop on rockville road in plainfied, indiana january 29th. when we arrived there was approx 4 couples at different tables seated. our waitress took our order at 5:15 pm. at 5:45 we asked where our food was. we ordered the egg,ham sandwich w/fries. at 6:15 after 8 more diners came in we still had not been served our dinner. everyone else that had come in after us had been served. we left totally annoyed at the lack of customer service and will not be going back to ihop.. i address the manager w/the problems and he just blew us off. |
ZIONS CROSSROADS VIRGINIA | 1/24/12 |
| i use to work at the ihop ZIONS CROSSROADS VA and i have never seen such favortism and employees treated so bad before. they fired a boy because he had robbed someone in his past so they said they couldnt let him work their anymore because he had robbed someone and they couldnt have him handleing thier money but yet their new gerneral manager is a convicted fellon for holding a gun at a pizza hut man and taking his moneythen spent it on crack. she spent 8 years in jail for this, seems kind of unfair that she can rob a pizza hut man and be the manager of an ihop but this other guy cant even be a surver seems a little unfair if i was him id sue ihop and mr crammor. the managers name at this ihop is PAM BOYCE. their gereral manager is also a fellon for being a crack user and crack dealer she also spent 9 years in jail. she is very verbaly abusive towards other employees. shes called a pregnant girl we wirk with a baby killer infront of employees becuase of some choices the girl has made thats how heartless this woman is. she is also known to come in drunk to her shift she said in a managers meeting " everyone here knows i drink so if you need me please call me asap so i am not too drunk to come in. YES she said this in a managers meeting and noone said anything not even pam who is the general manager this could be because they are best buds. the assistant managers name is JANNET BOYETT. neither of these woman should be allowed to be managers of a resturnat that they are running like a jail because that is what they are use to. i hope one day mr crammor gets his act together and gets some real managment in that place |

| To the lady that was dissapointed that her "turkey club" was not on a piece of toasted bread, a club sandwich is literally a sandwich served on a roll. The sandwich served on three pieces of toast is called the double blt. I'm sorry that you are unaware of what you ordered, but despite all these valid complaints yours is clearly one of incompetence on your own part. |
Carla Jackson-DISCRIMINATION OF EMPLOYEES | 1/14/12 |
I am reading some of the reviews received by your patrons/employees and NONE of them are good.
I'm writing to inform you of more bad news. I was eating at a franchise restaurant in Belton, Missouri when the Owner/Manager/Trainer named A.J. told an employee that he was training that she was "fat and needed to wear makeup".
This is downright DISCRIMINATION and after reading all of the complaints, I DEMAND THIS BE LOOKED IN TO. If not, I am of the opinion that the lawfirm that I have worked for in Kansas City, Missouri will be seeing if some employees of your company want to initiate a lawsuit for numerous allegations.
You cannot legally tell an employee they need to wear makeup and/or state anything about their weight, etc. How would A.J. have liked it if I told him he needed to change his unattractive appearance and not be middle-eastern???
I almost stood up and told him what I thought. I have worked for the Former Governor of Missouri in his lawfirm for 17 of my 25 years as a paralegal and this should not exist in a restaurant. Further, to do it in the public setting is even more discriminatory and I really do understand what that restaurant always is training new employees and you never see the same person.
Personally, I hope corporate does something about it and if you don't take action, I will.
If you would care to contact me, my number is (913) 709-5368. Please leave a name and number and I will get back with you or you can call me on Mondays which are my day off. |

| I have worked at an IHOP in KC, MO for a few years. Yes management is much different than that of other companies.. but at the IHOP that I work at, my managers, and especially my GM, actually really do care. Working in a food industry is hard because there are always, no matter what restaurant, customer complaints and other problems. But what business doesn't have problems? No industry, business, company, or body is perfect. The food service world is changing and so is IHOP by June of this year as a SOP for all Ihops nation-wide. I really do hope that some of those who have had bad experiences give us another chance. I hate to admit, but I have even had a couple here in there when visiting other IHOPS, but at the same time I have had them from nearly all places I have ever eaten. There are good IHOPS and bad ones. IHOP is a franchisee corporation, therefore you will have the good and the bad. I will apologize for those who may have been rude for any experience at IHOP that was any less than a good one. |

| I know exactly what you mean the same things happen in grand forks nd i could no longer work there with all the stuff that was happening i became general manager there and i am 23 and no one wanted to improve anything because they were used to all of the same things not doing sidework and leaving the back of house a mess it was horrible and it still goes on till now i have a bf who still works there and he puts up with a lot he gets written up for doing his job and gets in trouble for when others dont do theirs and gets threatened everyday if he dont go into work when he his asked he will get fired and he is being run by a manager who has never ran a front of house ever and just been a cook and doesnt not have any education in his life but they allow him to run a restaurant and threaten people with their jobs its crazy i mean crazy and if you arent sucking up to the boss or head bosses there is no reason to work there cause you will be ignored if you aint bowing down to them youll lose your job its gotten to the point where they are having employees stay off the clock so the manager can look good because labor is so low my bf got cut a good 30 hours on his check because of that and because managers went in and adjusted their hours its crazy i tell you and its funny how you can try and try and talk to them but they dont care about you because you are a person that doesnt kiss their butt it just frustrats me the way they do things there Grand Forks will be losing that store if they dont get someone who is more educated and reliable because they dont realize the manager calls in other people to cover his shift and shows up when he wants and the other manager can disappear for days and still have a job |

| I worked at an ihop in Ohio when they hired me they promised me a job as a cook but after my training it looked like they had hired 30 others for the back. Every day I was watched(they have cameras eveywhere) but not told what to do. I really wanted to stay I needed a job but one day they told me I wasn't doing the job right but there was no one to lead me and most in the back did not speak english. I told them the problem but they asked me to leave. This broke my heart after going to culinary school and hoping to work a simple 8.00hr job how can they say I'm not good enough??? However they never gave me a break after 10 hr shifts and would keep me till 3am. Is this right?? |
ihop has truned against its employees | 1/9/12 |
| ihop cares more about their business than there employees they just use them for expanding the business. There is no concern over handicaps, pregnent employees, or those who even have higher education. They are going to lose in the end if they don't stop treating us like robots! |

| Today 1/6/12 my dauaghter and I went to eat breakfast at IHop on George Dieter in EL PASO TEXAS. We ordered our breakfast which came with pancakes and asked the server to wait to bring us the pancakes so we could enjoy them with our coffee after eating our eggs. When the pancakes arrived my daughter proceeded to spread the ball of butter on top of the pancakes and found a blonde medium length hair in the butter. She asked to speak with the manager, who took his sweet time about coming to our table. Before he could come, a server came to the table and swooped the pancakes with the hair in them. After waiting about five more minutes, my daughter got up and went to the entrance of the kitchen, she did not go in the kitchen, and I could see the manager's hands go up as if to hold my daughter away. My daughter told him that she needed to speak with the manager and his response was "can't you see I'm busy taking care of business back here?" She responded, yes but you should also take care of business out here in the lunch room. They both walked back to the table my daughter sat down in her chair and he leaned into her face and asked "now what is the problem?" She told him, there was a hair in my pancakes. He proceeded to tell my daughter to lower here voice, apparently he wanted her to whisper so other customers would not find out about the hair. My daughter told him, "I am not raising my voice." He became upset and told her "there is nothing I can do for you" and walked away. One of the servers that had nothing to do with what was going on then proceeded to accuse my daughter of putting the hair in the butter!! This is definitely the worst service we have ever received in any restaurant and I promise I will never return to your establishment. My daughter and I will post on facebook about this incident everyday and tell everyone about your crappy service and the rudeness of the manager (Mahar Yadar) and the staff there. |

| i hop treats there employees like trash i seen it happen first hand to 2 of my family members you would think that if you work 40 to 48 hrs. a week come in when ever you are called in .stay longer if you are asked or being the only one on the sales floor they would notice instead they are to busy treating workers that really dont do anything like super stars. maybe if there was better managment , the restaurant would run better people would be taken care of faster and other employees wouldnt be to blame for there mistakes. | I visit I-hops often in different locations and have, overall, found them to be good. Of course, there is always the exception somewhere for a given individual. My problem with one here in KC,Mo is the men workers, all being Africans, which is no problem in itself,BUT, they are wearing uniform pants but yet try to get them below their rear end. Those pants are made to wear with a belt around your waist, not without a belt and hanging half way down their rear ends, or lower. I am not interested in watching a man clean the table across from me with his rear showing. Pull the damn things up where they go.James MUllins |

| Just wanted to tell that your parking lot lighting in some of your IHOP locations is horrific!!! I went to one of them at around 1:30 a.m. in the Sacramento(Ca) area, and I felt very unsafe there, the parking lot is dark, and in a bad neighborhood. I feel for the waitress(1), cook(1), who happen to be women, sounds like a good lawsuit if anything should happen to them, God forbid. I would do research on the safety issues before it's too late, forwarding a copy of this to OSHA. Good luck |

| If I could give it -0- stars I would, unacceptable food quality. Went to the IHOP located at 535 French Road, New Hartford, NY 13413. Seriously the worst restaurant experience ever! Both my husband and I ordered onion rings for an appetizer, and each ordered what was called a turkey club sandwich with french fries for our meal. Onion rings came, they were fine but within about a minute the food came. I prefer restaurants allow you to have time to enjoy your appetizer before bringing the meal but okay fine. So onto the horrible meal. We both thought club sandwiches were 3 slices of bread, toasted with fresh turkey, bacon, lettuce and tomato, but not this time. Okay, what they brought was very large, thick, cold and as stale as can be rolls. Not toasted, just hard and stale. The sandwich was a couple slices of old turkey, two slices of even older, and very hard bacon, tomatoes with no taste. No mayo on the sandwich, along with at most 8 french fries on each plate. Told the waitress how dissatisfied were were, she basically just said sorry have a good evening. We spent close to $30 and literally had no dinner, just a few onion rings, the only fresh and eatable thing served. NEVER EVER will we set foot in another IHOP............disgusting. |

I went into IHOP last night in Lancaster, TX after getting back in town. I saw the most disturbing thing. The whole restaurant was SEGREGATED and it's almost 2012. The African-Americans were hidden while the Caucasian guest were by the windows as though they were "show pieces". It didn't look good and if a Caucasian was with an African-American they were hidden too. I DO NOT appreciate that at all. Thank you for your time.

We had a late dinner at IHOP Airport Thruway Columbus GA Saturday 12/17/11. The waitress was good but the food quality was poor. There was curly black hair attached to my bacon. When we complained the waitress just brought out more bacon. I certainly did not want anymore. The bacon also was really greasy tasting and not in a good way. Are the cooks still required to wear hair nets? It makes me sick to think where the hair may have come from. I know they are required to wash their hands after using the rest room but how do you know they did?
The coffee was cold when it was brought to the table and we had to ask for it to be heated. I don't think I could ever bring myself to eat there again or refer anyone else too.

Frustrated Customer | 12/20/11 |
| The IHOP in Columbia, Missouri is absolutely appalling. The customers and managers are more concerned with their smoke breaks than actually helping customers. We ordered our drinks and didn't get them for about 15 minutes. When the server finally brought them she reeked of smoke and was unapologetic. While waiting for our drinks to come, I happened to go out the parking lot to get my cell phone from my car and saw my server and the manager sharing a cigarette out back. He (manager) had his arms around her (server) waist and didn't seem to be hiding their obvious relationship from anyone. Is there no fraternization policy at these stores? To top it all off, my food was mediocre and my server only came to my table to bring the food and the check. She never came to see how the food was or if we needed anything- refills included. I will never eat at this store again, and I have been sure to tell others to do the same. |

A friend of mine and myself had gone in to the IHOP at 2025 State Street Schenectady, NY 12304 and were seated quite promptly by a very kind waitress who was doing just fine throughout my entire experience there. I had asked her if it was possible to substitute the onion rings out for more mozarella sticks on the menu there on the sampler platter on your appetizer section, and that I'd pay the extra cost for them if that was necessary. She promptly took my order down and knew exactly what I wanted. The GM of that store then took over, w/o letting my table know or the waitress who was doing just fine, and handed my order out to the wrong table, the table 3 tables down from mine, and it had extra chicken fingers, not mozarella sticks like I asked and paid for, and when I asked her to correct this I was met with a roll of the eyes. Then I got my burger and the lettuce on it was clearly wilted and when I brought this up the GM replaced it; however, this took 3 times as I had to continuously send it back as the lettuce did not look fresh or healthy to consume. She then gave me an attitude, threatened to call the police on me b/c I wouldn't leave b/c I wasn't done eating all b/c I said the lettuce looked like it had E-coli and the GM's response was "that's how it's going to look; you ordered a greasy burger, what do you expect?!"; this is not only rude, degrading, but false as I've ordered a bacon cheeseburger from local diner's and places like Ruby Tuesday and Friendly's and not been served wilted, unedible lettuce.
***PLEASE, if you value me and everyone else as a person and customer, review the video from that store and you will see and hear that I was not loud, beligerent, or disrupting anyone else's meal; you will see her waving her hands in my face w/frustration, her sitting down to give me more attitude, as I'm there to simply eat my food and continue on with my day; not to listen to the GM's justifications about her lacking respect and quality of the food.***
She ultimately gave me my meal for free and told me "it wasn't b/c she had done anything wrong or disrespectful" but that I just needed to leave and the police would be called if I didn't.
Respect and customer service is KEY in the food industry and frankly, I was appauled by the representation that she exhibited on IHOP's behalf. |

My Mother and I went to have breakfast on Dec 2, 2011 at 10am at your Maple Rd in Williamsville/Amherst NY location. Upon arrival we where seated in your room off to
the left of the restaurant. Our waitress came over took our drink order and food.
Our drinks where delivered right away. I tried the ginger hot chocolate and my mother had coffee. After waiting 45 min and still no food, I ask the waitress to speak to the manager. Another 5 min gone by, no manager, my mother and I got up to
leave, we see the waitress look for us, I call out to her that 45 min is redicououls to wait for our food and we are leaving, nither her or the manage looked like they cared. That's really sad in today economy that your company or employees think this is acctable behaviour. My family and I will not be back to any IHOP ever again. This is not the first bad experience we have had but is the last and we will tell 10 friends and they will tell 10 friends and someone will get the messege that you can't treat coustomers like that. For your information, I have worked in the food service industry for many years and I did not treat anyone like that EVER! |

| The waiter at location 3105 in Greensboro, NC used his hands to wipe off the table. After asking him to wipe it off again, he used this hands once more. How unsanitary! This is the same person that was is suppose to bring out our food. We use to visit this location at least once a week but every time this guy waits our table, he is slack. He has major problems with bringing out extra things such as napkins etc. he also would make smart comments if you asked for something out side of everyone else's order. He is not pleasant at all and not sure if he even liked his job. Very disappointed! |

| When you work at IHop, Orange Park Florida Fleming Island you can be sure to be written up and fired shortly thereafter. The favoritism is appalling. They micro manage and do not know what they are doing. Oh, and good luck getting your last checks they put you through hell. The turnover on employees is high. Do they train their managers or what? After seeing pages and pages of complaints on this restaurant I have to wonder will anything be done. |

| over the last couple of weeks i have watched a sever smack another server and not get sent home or disciplined in anyway. In virginia its a crime to put your hands on someone. her actions where brushed off by the district manager (rosemary). not even a week later she had another confrontation with another employee and she swung at that employee but was contained by the manager morio. she was transferred another ihop (hoadly rd.) with again no disciplinary actions taken against her. the other server was suspended because she cursed out loud for to week. whats wrong with this picture. i just hope things get better, its really getting out of control and eventually someone is going to be smart enough to take legal action. It is a crime to hit someone and its just as bad to condone it and do nothing about it. |

| With Midland,Tx right in the center of the Oil boom industry we have people moving to our community from all over the United States. I'm involved with alot of youth groups in our community, children from abused and battered homes etc. therefore i monitor the registered sex offenders website in our community on a regular basis. I was very disturbed to find one of the sex offenders working in direct contact with the public as a manager at our Loop 250 location. I am aware that these people have to work to support their families but I feel that they should not be placed in direct contact with access to our CHILDREN. |

| I have been to ihop many times before and always had a good experience, on Sunday (11/19/2011) I had the worst experience I've ever had at any restaurant. While visiting the ihop in gordonsville va Roberta was our server. Roberta approaches our table and asks were we ready to place our order then proceeds to say "I can't stand crackers " and my response was "huh" and she then says "crackers get on my dam nerves!" I just response. Was "oh ok" I was going to let the comment to because I know everyone has their bad days. After receiving our food from a different severer Roberta never came back to the table I had to go to the front desk and "where is my server" my glass had been empty for about 10 minutes I needed napkins finally alexis helped us the rest of our visit she was wonderful. So after receiving such lousy server service I then had the need to inform a manager of the racist comment and the lack of professionalism and negative attitude from Roberta. The two managers that spoke wth us were very nice and very apologetic and ashored us this type of behavor is not tolerated and it would be taken care of. We will return again and hope that our next visit we do not feel so disrespected |

I was recently fired from Ihop, by the manager in charge, Hamlet, but he refused to admit I was fired. Hamlet was pressuring me to resign by switching my regular morning schedule to swing. I told him many times in the past that I have a 10-year-old son and don't have a babysitter for the evenings during the week. Hamlet told me he didn't care and that I had to figure it out if I want to keep my job.
I offered to give Hamlet my resignations if he allowed me to work my last two weeks in the morning, but he said absolutely not. I then asked him if I could at least finish working the rest of the week; Hamlet said no, there is no point in that if i will no longer be working there. I asked him if he was firing me because I can't work swing shift. He said no, California is an at will employment state and if I can't meet the job requirements then I don't have a job.
Before leaving his office, he grabbed a pen and a blank sheet of paper |

| I'm wondering if anyone else would be interested in starting a Thanksgiving and Christmas boycott against IHOP? My husband has worked for IHOP for 15 years and has NEVER had a Christmas Eve, Christmas day, or Thanksgiving off! He has worked at 3 different IHOP's owned by different people but all have the same policy. You work these holidays or you're fired. 15 years and my children (ages 3-15) have not spent one single Christmas Eve with their dad. In this day and age it's hard to find a job so of course no one is willing to risk getting fired. It's unfair, even Walmart closes Christmas Eve and Christmas day! Come on IHOP! Start caring about your employees and let them share these holidays with their families!!! |

| I visited IHOP in Miramar FL today. It's located on Miramar Pkwy and University Dr. I have visited this IHOP before and the service was bad. Today when I visited it was the worse experience ever. I was there 10 minutes before a waiter approached my table and asked to take my order. As I waited for my food to arrive, several people were seated, served and eating before I got my food. I waited for 45 minutes to get my food and my friend did not get their food for another 15 minutes. When i got my food it was cold. I asked for the manager, but she was not available. After waiting 15 minutes the manager came to our table and offered to re-cook my food. I was so disgusted by then that I had totally lost my appetite for anything that would be prepared in that restaurant. I gave the cold food back to the manager. I will never eat there again!!!!! Horrible service, horrible customer service. After being disappointed with the whole ordeal, I was charged for the coffee. Just for being made to wait for 45 minutes to get cold food, that should have @ least been complimentary. |

| I was with a group of about 10 people at the iHOP in Mount Pleasant, Michigan and we all witnessed a waiter AND the manager refuse service to a couple because they were gay. My friends and I promptly left the restaurant and will not be returning. Also, Mount Pleasant is home to Central Michigan University. Several student groups have been notified and there is now almost a campus wide boycott of iHOP. |

| I visited your IHOP (#1469) today to meet a friend to do some homework. We have been meeting at this particular location all semester. We were not there not ten minutes when the manager, Mohammed, came and asked us if we were going to be ordering anything. I replied no as we were not going to be staying long. My friend who arrived late replied that he had not even been waited on. The manager asked us how he was suppose to make any money if we do not order anything. We were both shocked. We told the manager that on previous occasions we had place ordered and also told him that other restaurants have NEVER asked us to order anything. Now, I can understand if the restaurant was full and he needed they table. My friend and I looked around and there must have been a total of four tables that actually had any customers. We pointed this out to the manager that we were not costing the company any money and that the only thing he has managed to do upset two current and future customers. As of today IHOP has lost my business forever. There is a Denny's that is closer to my home that offers free wifi which I will be visiting from now on. |

bladensburg maryland the worst. me and a friend went to eat using the revolution coupons. on my first visit they exchange rooty tooty for the meal that came with pancakes no problem. I go the next time with a friend and it becomes an issue. you have to read the small print on the bottom the managers the first time did not read it before and allowed to me to get the meal with the free pancakes. we asked angele if we could have the substitution with the pancakes and she said yes. at the end of the meal we show her thcoupon. The manager hotheaded and not willing to listen, called the police,he looked stupid when the coupon was legit, he just wanted to stir stuff up. The worst IHOP experience ever.the cop was clueless and useless, totally oblivious,

| I live in South Sound area of WA, and the IHOP located on Martin Way is the best IHOP my family and I have gone to. It's not only its menu, prices, but also its staff professionalism. After going this restaurant, it was so unavoidable for me to comparing with IHOP restaurants located in Tulsa, OK, where I come once or twice a year. IT WAS LIKE HELL. Especially the one is on Memorial and 31st st. Menu was poor; food was bad; the rooms were filthy. I'd like to take my family there again so we can enjoy good meals as we do here in Washington!!!! |

| Just got off work. I work at a restaurant and I couldn't wait to get a spinach omelette and pancake. I arrived at 11:40 and there was a crowd of employees smoking in the parking lot. ( I am a smoker). They informed me they were closed. I asked if they didn't stay open til 12. They said yes and I said well it is only 20 til, they informed me their computer said it was 10 til. I am not sure why they thought that was an appropriate response. I have my food in front of me at waffle house now . Please note the time you are receiving this message. Thanks Lisa |

| What a damn shame. I ate regularly in the New Port Richey IHOP store in Florida. I always asked for the cheerful waitress named Julia. One day she was her cheerful self, except there was a problem, she smelled like marijuana. I overheard the server speaking amongst themselves about other servers in a very derogitory way on how they can get certain ones fired because they had their Gm under their thumbs. There was alot of profanity and unprofessionalism. One other time I had come at night before work and noticed a half a dozen of black males outside of the store and once again all I smelled was marijuana. Does't the GM know abou these things? Does he do anything about these situations. A GOOD PLACE GONE BAD DUE TO POOR MANAGEMENT. |

| My family and I went to the IHOP in lake havasu city, az and we had a waitress named allison. If I could rate the waitress it would be five stars but the manager was a blonde we never got her name because she never came to our table but we did witness her yelling at a waitress. How can someone be that hateful using such fowl words be in a managment position at a great place like ihop. She showed no sign of passion for her resturant. We will only be back when she is not there. |
Leni Manning | 10/14/11 |
| I have some real concerns about you reopening the ihop in the same location of the shootings in Carson City, NV. I knew people who were in the ihop at the time of the shooting. I know I will not eat in that location again. Several of my friends will not either. We have two vacant restaurants in town. I feel the sooting location should be knocked down with a memorial park put in it's place. Please reconsider your choice. We are all still in mourning! |
Tonya | 10/12/11 |
| I went to eat at ihop on memorial,Oklahoma.I ordered the food and got my food to so then I needed some extra napkins. I told the other server to bring meextra napkins as i could not find my server and she did so. Later I hear my server screaming at the girl who brought the napkins to me. she was so loud and rude and the other girl was embarrassed. I asked her to call the manager and she didn't even call the manager.so I had to ask somebody else to call the manager. And I told the manager to give the tip to the other sever. When I go out to eat I want peace. I came to ihop for my break. I'm assuming they do not understand the meaning of customer service. I'm never going back to this place again. Horrible service very bad. |

| We went to Ihope in Rock Springs Wyoming. It was the foulest place I ever been! The tables we NOT clean, the floors were sticky and not been vacuumed in a while, there was food crumbs in the cracks of the table and wall as well as the bench. I was just grossed out, there was NO way I was going to let my family eat there. I sure hope the health Department comes in the closes them down! That is how gross it was. So if your ever traveling through Wyoming don't ever stop at the Ihop in Rock Springs! |

Words cannot describe the very poor management at the iHOP in Oxon Hill, MD
Table dirty
Server slow
only 2 orders, but mixed up
manager couldn't listen because he was too busy giving excuses; then he turned his back to dismiss us! |

| Ihop is supposedly a family restaurant. I work for the company as a waitress. They don't care. They are just a big corporation making their millions. In the west tx store I work in from 6pm to 7am I get paid $2.15 an hour MINUS .35 cents an hr for drinks I consume during my shift. Personally I think this is bs! The corporation just took away added gratuities on big parties so now we make even less. They recently placed a manager in our store that doesn't know what foods come on which plates. She's a disaster in the kitchen. There is no insurance available but if we miss work for any reason, we better have a doctors excuse. My advice to whomever that comes across this...eat at local mom & pop diners. Corporations are terrible! Ihop may be a 'family restaurant' but they sure as Hell don't care about the families they employ |
Tired & hungry | 9/30/11 |
| Tired and hungry after a long day of work. Shreveport LA Youree Drive - Walked in to order breakfast to go (8:30 p.m.) place not busy at all. cashier was busy but server not busy at cashier stand and took my order. It was ready in about 5 minutes. fast and friendly service. Bacon was not fully cooked - had to throw that out. Areas on the styrofoam containers was melted on the bottom from the food, so had to throw that part of the food away. The rest of the food was good. |
Yolanda Robinson | 9/30/11 |
| My name is Yolanda Robinson, I have been a server for over 8yrs and I have been employed by Ihop for 3 of those years. Recently we were appointed a new G.M by the name of Damien Lazana, it has been a total nightmare. Your availability doesnt matter even if it is in writing he puts you on shifts he know you cant work, You have to call daily to find out if your working or if you still need to come to work, because if you dont sell enough orange juice, your hours are cut. it does not matter if your a great ( which I am ) server with regulars he will still take you off the schedule with no explanation. quote...( I dont have to explain anything, Im the de. 3 weeks in a row I have ask about my schedule and lack there of. I went from 3 regular scheduled days ( in which I have never called out or missed in my 3 yrs of service for this company) to 1 this week 2 next week I have stressed the need to work all 3 of my days to be able to pay my bills. The reasons given, which I have asked for in writing, which I have not received yet. Not to mention the task I only have been asked to perform, I have been asked to clean the dining room chairs with a tooth brush, I have been told to stand in a chair and clean the walls all the way to the top. I have had to wash my on dishes to get to the silverware that is required for me to rolled in order to clock out. I have had to cook when the G.M was the cook, but nowhere to be found. Some servers get paid minimun wage while waiting tables, while I get paid server minimum wage. There is so much more, but this type of treatment cant go on. I am currently in the process of completing a discrimination claim with the EEOC on Ihop and there employee Damien Lazana. I have anxiety attacks, migraines and my asthma flares up more frequently then ever since he became manager. I have recently resigned from Ihop, a place I loved to work, because, of the discrimination, health issues and the overall feeling of dis pare when the though of working under Mr. Lazana comes to mind. Human Resource is of no help. No matter the day or time you will always get the voice mail. Ms. Rodriguez did call me about 3 times at ihop on my cell phone which we are not allowed to use. I have even given her alternate numbers to reach me, but I have yet to speak with this person about my concerns. |
Sandy | 9/25/11 |
| When I went up to the front to pay my bill there was another customer in front of me. I stood there and stood there while the customer and cashier were talking and talking. Meanwhile other customers were getting behind me. I asked for the manager and asked what was going on and he said "the customer was talking about his accident to the cashier". Not once did the cashier or manager look at me or talk to me or say they were sorry. If I am going to be ingored everytime I go to this restaurant because they think they are more important, then I will stop going. Just for your information the IHOP is located at 24318 Hemlock, Moreno Valley, California (#760). |

My son is 17 years old and working at IHOP store #1451 in Lake Jackson Texas. I have concerns involving his employer falsely reporting tips of all the employess as well as requiring them to work "off the clock"
The manager of the store does not allow the employees to report their actual tips and just calculates 15% of their gross receipts. IHOP is known for having customers that pay less then 15% in tips and my son is making less then the employer is reporting for tax purposes. This also helps them avoid paying the employees the required total minimum wage after tips. I am now having my son keep a tip log of all tips recieved daily for this reason. I will be researching who to contact to report this for criminal activity (Tax Fraud, FLSA violations ect.) if it is not resolved soon.
The second concern is the manager is requiring all the employees to do 1-2 hours of unpaid labor after they clock out. Alot of the employees are young like my son and being taking advantage of.
If corporate actually reads this they can respond to me at msjoffshore@yahoo.com for additional information. |

| I travel 89 miles one way 2-3 times a month to eat at the IHOP located in Loganville,Ga. store # 2029, the GM Emily Gibson is awesome, not only does she treat her customers as if they were family or friends, she treats her employees with respect and dignity. If she has as problem with one, she will take them off the floor and talk with them. I have followed her from Carrollton,Ga when she was a server, to Conyers, Ga where she was promoted to asst. manager, then to her current location in Loganville, Ga. were she is the GM as i mentioned earlier. I will continue to eat at her location. If she is transfered to another IHOP, i will dine at the store she is transfered to. She keeps her store clean, the atmosphere is awesome, and her employees are courteous, she is an asset to IHOP. |

| My fiance just was fired from one of ur stores in hollywood fla. she was verbally & physically assulted by customers & sexually harassed by management, The GM had been aware of the harassment but did nothing about it. She worked overnites & had almost been beat up & when she tried to get ahold of a manager no one would even answer the phone. Your company treats ur employees terrible. Shame on you for having no clue how crappy ur management is. You are going to have a lawsuit if u dont take care of the real problems.. |

| The IHOP in Boulder, Colorado is well-managed and we have no complaints about the food or the waitstaff. The other night when we stopped in there for dinner, though, we encountered extremely rude people among the other customers in the restaurant. This happened on the way out, where the 3 people were outside sitting on the dining patio. A man in this group was saying insulting things about people passing by the patio, and insulted my mom. Horrible. I know we could have gone back in and said something to the management or staff and they would have done something about it. We didn't want to walk back past this guy, though. These people were probably either drunk or on drugs or both. So that's what happened, in a nutshell. Thanks for listening. |

| At the Ihop in buffalo ny on walden we went to go eat! There were 6 tables sat and waited on. The guy told us he had to take names cause the kitchen was backed up and no more orders were allowed. We said there are only 6 tables full. How long of a wait? 20 mins or so! So we waited 20min with 30 more other people who signed in besides us! We all ended up walking out and going some where else to eat!!!!! How disappointing is that! Kids eat free month but not enough help!!! Never going back!!!!! |

| The waiter put my tab on my debit card, then put a different customers tab on my debit card too. this customer had paid cash, the waiter put the cash in his pocket and put that customers ticket on my debit card. I called the manager about it several times, but can get no where. I usually spend $100 a month or so at various Ihops, but the entire franchise has just lost my business. This was in Sioux City Iowa on Gordon Drive |

| I WORK AT IHOP AND I DONT CARE TOO MUCH FOR MY JOB. THE OWNER DOES NOTHING COMES IN FOR THE MONEY AND CHECKS TICKET TIMES. ANY COMPLAINTS THAT I HAVE AND GO TO HIM ABOUT IT, HE DOES NOTHING. THE GENERAL MANAGER IS VERY RACIST AND SHOWS FAVORITISM TOWARDS EVERYONE EXCEPT BLACK SERVERS. SOME OF THE WHITE SERVERS WONT PICK UP A TABLE IF THEY ARE BLACK. THE GENERAL MANAGER FLIRTS WITH ALL THE MALE COOKS. SHES VERY VENDICTIVE AND SHE SHOWS HER ANGER BY PLAYING GAMES WITH PEOPLES SCHEDULES AND HOURS. SHE HAS LIED AND HAD SEVERAL SERVERS SUSPENDID BECAUSE SHE WAS MAD AND WHEN THEY WENT TO THE OWNER HE DOES NOTHING. HE TAKES HER SIDE AS IF SHE IS ALWAYS RIGHT AND NEVER WRONG. SERVERS GET WRITTEN UP FOR THINGS SHE TELLS US TO DO AND NOTHING HAPPENS TO HER. THE WEATHER TODAY HAD THE ELECTRIC OUT SO THEY OPENED UP A 11 INSTEAD OF THE GM DOING HER JOB CALLING EMPLOYEES THAT WERE SCHEDULED TO WORK TO SEE IF THEY WANT TO COME IN SHE PICKS HER FAVORITE 4 INCLUDING HER DAUGHTER THAT ALSO WORKS THERE THAT WASNT ON THE SCHEDULE TO BEGIN WITH. SOUNDS LIKE FAVORITISM. THE WAY THAT THEY ACT TO THEIR EMPLOYEES REFLECT ON OUR JOB TASKS. WE DONT DO WANT SHE WANTS BECAUSE SHE HAS NO RESPECT. SHE IS A VERY DEVELISH WOMAN CAN SOMEONE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THEM? |

| Lately, every time I go to the IHOP in Stamford, CT, at lunch time they block off 1/3 of the restaurant. I left today because they had no more booths other than the ones in the blocked off section. The elderly couple in front of me left also. They are losing business because they refuse to open this section. When asked why we couldn't sit in the other section, the waiter explained that there was no service in that area. It amkes no sense. I will not go back there for lunch unless they open up this section when the other section is full! |

| I took my mother and my daughter out to eat on July 1st. I paid with my debit card, including a $6.00 tip to the waitress. On Monday, I saw two transactions in my pending transactions list. At first, I was not too concerned because I figured one would drop off. BOTH went through my bank account. I called Visa yesterday and talked with them. It was evident to the account services at Visa that those were two different transactions because they had two different numbers. I had been charged for another tables food!!! (Then I remembered the waitress tried to give me someone elses credit card!) He told me that I would have to have IHOP reverse the second transaction. I make a call to IHOP yesterday and there was no manager. I called today and was told (in a very rushed way) to call back between 1 and 2 p.m. because the managers were cooking. I asked if they would be available later because I had plans at that time. I was told in a rushed way that, "yes that would be fine." Sooo, I go by the restaurant and no manager is there, no manager is coming in and no one working can give me the number for the corporate office. So, I am still out my money, plus the inconvenience of having driven over there, and the stress involved with my debit card. I am so ticked. |
Santiago Cantu | 7/8/11 |
IHOP, 11613 Bandera Road, San Antonio TX 78250
The last three trips here, disaster, but today was the straw that broke the camel's back. We will never return to ANY IHOP ANYWHERE.
Three trips ago, (May 2011) the beef tips were RAW, camouflaged by the sauce of course, I spit them out into my napkin in disgust. I could not eat. I complained when I left and the manager told me I could not complain "because the waitress kept checking on us and I did not order a replacement." Sorry, ma'am, I was too nauseated to order a replacement.
Two trips ago (June 2011) The IHOP canned potato soap was served ice cold in the center,
TODAY, The sign said, "A good meal can make the day," All the customers were laughing and saying, "They should change it to....A Good Meal TAKES all day." We arrived at 1:20 and placed our order at 1:30. Half the restaurant was roped off and closed. The other half ... a total of TEN customers ONLY. Our meal arrived at 2:10
AFTER the waitress kept saying, "It will be five more minutes." We requested tartar sauce (none available), we requested cocktail sauce (none available). (I ordered Talapia). My husband's bread, which we had to request 3 times, arrived as a desert,
after we had finished. So it took 35 minutes to receive our order (or I should say the initial part of our order), and the waitress said there was only one cook and they were CROWDED...ten customers. I counted them. When we went to pay out check,
the "system was down", we stood at the register for l5 minutes and I finally asked to see the manager and inquire as to how we could get out of the place....she gave us our meal, along with the other TEN customers, the entirety of their workload...I asked for the receipt so I could call the 800 number for the survey. She gave me someone else's receipt and refused to give me my receipt. This is nothing new. At this location, they refuse customers the right to obtain their receipts to participate in the survey. Additionally, the restrooms are FILTHY..I supposed this is because the staff is overworked with their TEN customers. No paper, no toilet seat
cover, the trash cans, all of them were running over with trash, and the walls contained urine. Disgusting. Never again will I ever go into another IHOP. To say the staff and management is INEPT is a compliment to the way this location is operated. Gross and disgusting better describes it.

| I cannot comment on the food, as the service here in South Lake Tahoe was so bad that we left. After sitting at our table for almost 10 minutes our server had not even stopped by to introduce herself, indicate that she would be with us shortly, or make any contact. I then walked out and settled for breakfast from McDonald's across the street. McDonald's may not have been the ideal breakfast, but at least I was able to order and get food. |

I am a regular customer of IHOP Hamden, Ct and Wallingford! I have had quite a few problems with the restaurant located at 2400 Dixwell Ave, Hamden, CT, 06514. Also, I have had a problem with the restaurant located at 1040 N Colony Rd, Wallingford, CT 06492. Here was my experience at both restaurants: When the new location in Hamden opened up they were less than professional when dealing with customers coming through the door. There lack of professionalism was insulting to say the least. There chose of employees left something to be desired because they were rude, prejudice and Incompetent. On one visit we stood there at the hostess desk for over 15 minutes without being acknowledged and the restaurant was not busy! On another occasion we were ignored completely by the hostess who took people that came in after us first (by the way we are African American and the people that came in 5 minutes after us were Caucasian. On a third visit The Hostess delayed acknowledging us then she Put her hand up and said word to the affect "You just have to wait a minute" in a very demeaning/condescending way, not even looking up at us. Of course we walked out and went to IHOP Wallingford! On another occasion (giving the location another try since they were new) my husband went there to get a takeout order and was treated very rudely! The same thing happened to me while calling in a take-out order The person on the phone did not know what an breakfast sampler was and started asking me if I want bacon order sausage when the menu says it includes both. Then when I told her that the sampler had both she explained to me that she was only a hostess and she did not know what was on the menu. I stated that I was coming anyway and to put my order in and I live about ten minutes away. I got there and the same woman that took my order said she did not put my order in because I said I was coming anyway! I asked to speak to the manager and the manager Apologized and explained that the hostess would not know the menu. I explained to her how we were treated on past visits and she actually knew which hostess did those things and told me that that person work in the kitchen now and does not have any contact with the customers anymore. I still had to wait another 15 minutes for the food! By this time I had supposed that they probably spit in the food because I made a complaint! My question becomes at this point why would you continue to employee people that obviously do not like people and/or do not possess customer service skills or an attitude of service? Well I will never visit that location again and will not recommend that anyone else does either especially if you are not "Caucasian". Now on to the second location in Wallingford! We charge the bill of $28.12 to our check/charge card and included a tip of $11.88 which brought the total to $40.00 even. On our visit of 7/9/11 the restaurant charged my account $40.00 and then when back and ran my card again for another $11.88 which is still pending on my account right 7/13/11. I called the restaurant and spoke to Farah who told me that my bank was the one who put in a second charge and I will have to wait another few days for it to go back into my account and I should call my bank. I called my back who explained that they only charge what the establishment swiped my card for and they have no way of knowing what we put down for a tip just the entire charge as a whole. They told me wait to see if the restaurant will charge back they pending amount of $11.88 to my account. Now it may seem petty but that is my money and IHOP has no rights to more than the total bill is for! This is double dipping! If my account goes into over draft because of the extra charges IHOP will here from my Lawyer and will have to reimburse me for the charges and the overdraft. |

We place our breakfast order and when it arrived the Crepes had onions in it. We complained and were told there was a confusion by the cook and a new order was made. Also we ordered a Fit and Healthy meal and the scrambled eggs were over-cooked. We grudgingly paid for our meal and left. Is this the kind of service you support? That cook should be reprimanded. |

We wanted to mke use of the kinds east free promotion. 2 adults and 2 kids wereto be put on each check. the waitress knew that is what we wanted to do, yet when 1 adult wanted to order for the senior s area she did not bother to inform us that if and adult used the seniors area the promotional special would not apply. Nowhere was this displayed. If reading the fine print on the sign by the register it still did not state that the senior meals were not eligible for the promotion. The service was excellent andthe food good but the customer service sucked. It is wrong to do basically a bait and switch on customers. |

| I loved IHOP until now, I've been an ongoing customer at many of your various location nationwide. this has really affected my views of your franchise. SHELLIE DAMRON needs to be FIRED. OR SUSPENDED as least. SOMETHING needs to be done! I will keep checking to make sure SOMETHING is done! I do not appreciate this type of treatment from anyone let along a person in a business setting who is suppose to be making sure i am taking care of since i have spent an extensive amount of money with your franchise. I'm not asking for money or anything. This is bigger than a dollar amount. I felt Threatned, scared, and embarrased. If it wasn't for the officer there I wouldn't dont the situation would have escalated! this has affected my LIFE. I've been thinking about this since it has happened. There was a camera there too I noticed so there should be footage that you can view, i think she was in view but i know i was and i did not get nasty or disrespectful with her verbally or physically which is why its such a huge deal! I am the victim for no reason she did me this cruel treatment!. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE or I WILL TAKE FURTHER ACTION! |

| We attended your restaurant in Kansas City on 64th st, we had eaten at this place before where we had an excellent waiter and service was great. We went in again on a Wednesday evening around 10 PM where the service was downright horrible. The waitress of course came around to bring us our round of food but never offered to refill our drinks and then would never bring out the hot syrup we had asked for. My glass of lemonade sat empty for 10 minutes, when I finally asked for a manager to come over, which did not improve the situation. The waitresses were out cleaning tables and getting ready to close, the heck with waiting on customers. I will never eat IHOP again. |

I was extremely dissatisfied with the service we received last night, June 21st between 7 and 8 pm at IHOP at 1491 N Dysart Rd, Avondale, AZ. Besides the poor food service, I was even more shocked at how the manager Cathy handled the situation.
I do not understand all the details as to why it took more than 42 minutes to make 2 orders of pancakes and an order of bacon. All I know is we ended up leaving the restaurant after 42 minutes without getting our food, no clear explanation as to why it was taking so long and no attempt by the manager Cathy to resolve the situation.
Our server said the reason our food was talking so long “is because there is only one cook who is barley learning how to cook”.
The manager Cathy defended the cook(s) saying there were two cooks working and neither one of them are training. She didn’t offer any explanation, no apology or any attempt to resolve the situation or offer compensation for if we were to return another time.
I want to reiterate, she made no attempt to ask us to wait one minute and she will check on our order or she could have apologized for the situation and asked if she can make it up to use on our next visit. She did nothing but defend the cook and let us walk out of the restaurant without eating.
42 minutes after ordering food is unacceptable for a restaurant that was not busy and only had a few customers. All the other customers were also still waiting for their food when we left and they were looking as irritated as we felt.

The service in Terrell Tx is good so is the food. I would like to complain about the Manager of the Terrell Ihop David Robin. It seems that when the store is busy or not all he wants to do is stand at tables and talk to customers while they eat. He does not help on the floor when the restaurant is busy he does not help seat customers clean tables or nothing. My guess is that mangers only do the office work and do not think the floor is important, however if not for the floor he would not be needed. If you have any influnce over him please help with this complaint.
Thanks

| I today 6/23/2011 visited a brand new Ihop at Barcelonta Puerto Rico and asked for two items of the menu and the attendant said neither were available. Since I have been to locations in Florida and never had this happen I understand that corporate should supervise this location to ensure that they meet the standards expected by it's customers. I will definitely not visit this location it lacks customers expectations and should be verified by corporate. |

| My family went to eat at ihop on Brown Deer Rd in Milwaukee,WI. It was 2 adults and 2 children. Kids eat free after 4pm everyday. Well, when it came time to pay I asked that I pay for my meal seperately. The manager then cashed me out. Then when it was time for the other adult to pay she charged for one of the kids as well. When we asked wh,y she said it was because you get one kids meal free per every adult meal that is purchased. I asked her to reverse the transaction and she refused. I then explained to her that it was extremely poor customer service to not inform me of how to utilize their promotion. The waitress was good but the restaurant is only as good as the person managing it!! Will NEVER eat there again!! |

| In Joplin, MO after the tornado destroyed much of the city the FEMA regulations was that all business that were destroyed was to pay their employees two weeks regular pay. We all know what kind of Management was witnessed on CNN and I believe he did not give the employees their pay. They received 5 days of 8 hour pay at minimum wage. That was not the directive. Should IHOP recieve any assistance from FEMA? No if they treat their employees like this. All the employees should recieve the full 2 weeks of pay at their wages. |

| 3 co worker's and I just ate at the I-Hop in Davis, Ca we had the Bacon/Egg special with the side, crepe, waffle and funnel cake. It took 25 minutes for lunch to be served we were there at 11:30. I asked for eggs fried whites done and extra extra crispy hash browns, the egg whites were runny and the hash browns were barely brown. I did not send them back as the server never gave us the opportunity to tell her how our meal was until we were almost finished. Shannon our server was very slow. |

Good morning,
I am a frequent customer at various IHOPs near Forestville/Largo, Maryland. I love the pancakes and the sirloin tips!!! My favorite.
My reason for sending this email is more of a concern than a complaint. When using the syrup, it is hard to determine the type of syrup because the words on the bottle is blended and is often hard on the eyes. I was wondering if it's possible to change the color of the writing on top of the syrup bottle? It would be easier if the writing was white or yellow; a color that would stand out on the bottle. What a way to "cater to the customers."

| I have worked at Ihop in Moore, Oklahoma since March of 2008. We have been a training store for a while now so I see a lot of managers come in and out of the store. What the tranier managers do is learn what needs to be done before they are sent to other Ihops. We have a manager now in training that is AWFUL. He treats everyone with no respect and expects you to do backflips for him. He is pushy and arrogant and definitely discriminates against women. We employ a lot of highschool students at this particular Ihop because we are right between all 3 schools in Moore. I know we are young but we are not stupid, and that is how he treats each and every one of us. I have talked to him about it once and let him know that I do not like the way he talks to me, but that did no good. Others are too afraid to say anything because with our economy now we can not afford to lose our jobs. I may only be 18 but I am one of the longest working employees this Ihop had. The Ihop in Moore lost a very hard-woring employee this week, me, and don't be surprsed when others leave too. His attitude CAN NOT be over-looked. I will be sending hand-written letters to corporate soon just to show how many employees agree with me. Please look into this. You will be hearing from me soon. |

| The worst service i can imagine. My granddaughter and I were eating at the Phenix City, Al. IHOP. She found a live ant in her food. The manager nor the general manager acted as though they cared. We will not be going back there. There are other places that serves pancakes. If not we will make them at home. We don't like ants with pancakes. |

| These IHOPS who insist on hiring ONLY latinos need to definitely be sued. Reverse discrimination is just as bad although it seems to be the trend now. It needs to be stopped! I notice that the ones who seem to take part in this type of job discrimination seem to be those restuarants who either are managed by a latino or have the franchise. |

| Ihop is very ghetto I must say there's always nasty floors and the booths are always worn down. They don't make food the way they did years ago. If u ask for cheese on your eggs they throw a slice of cold cheese on top. Everything is always rushed . The waitresses look like they just got out of rehab smoking in-between taking orders. All in all ill be sticking to cooking at home . |

| i worked at ihop for 3 years and i have never been treated so poorly in my life. my payroll checks bounce all the time. my boss hitt on me untill i told him that i want intrested. then my hours were cut and the rumors spread. He started saying i had stds which i dont. another manger found out and was willing to help me but a week later he was fired.it got so bad i had to quit im thew 3rd girl i know who this has happened to at this location. then another time our freezer was broken for 3 weeks in the winter so the just pout all the food on the roof. which is a food saftey violation big time. no one care how places are run and people are treated. im proud to be american and live here. i just dont know where america went and if its ever coming back. they say you can feel safe at work but when something happens no one wants to hear about or fix it. im making sure one way or another that this cant happen to another girl . ihop dubuque, ia stay way from there |

I would put a zero for a rating if I could. After church last night I took my family of 11 to eat at the IHOP in Santa Fe, New Mexico to celebrate my daughters Confirmation. The place was not busy, only a few tables of people. The time was about 8:50 p.m. It took the staff over an hour to serve us even though the were serving other tables that arrived after us. My wife confronted the manager and he said it would only be a little while longer. About twenty minutes later our food started to come out a little bit at a time and only partially for each person.
My wife, my neice and I were the last ones to get our food. My wifes eggs for her breakfast were runny even though she ordered over medium so she sent them back. The returned the eggs about five minutes later now overcooked (same eggs) and they were cold. We asked for my nieces pancakes and they brought them to us burnt (no exaggeration the were almost all black) and I could see the cooks in the back laughing. We again returned my wifes eggs and she just asked to have the scrambled. She received cold scrambled eggs that must have been sitting there from another canceled order because she received them right away. As we were waiting for my nieces food my wife asked if we could get our toast so that we could start eating. When she received her toast she found a pubic hair in her toast. I looked over at the cooks and they were laughing. My wife immediately confronted the manager who was rude to her and said it was not a hair and tried to take the plate from us. He continued to be rude so I called the police department to report the incident as I know that this happened because my wife had several complaints about the food and service.
Once my wife confronted the manager the server stopped serving us to include refilling our drinks. When the police officer spoke to the manager, the manager gave her a wrong name and then he refused to cooperate with her investigation at all. She was going to arrest the manager but she was able to speak to his manager and get his information.
I informed the manager that some of us did not eat our food and those that had started did not finish because we were grossed out by what we had found in the food and because we were upset with the service and the way we were treated. The manager told the officer that we had to pay for the food which included a $16 gratuity for poor service. The officer said the best thing to do is to pay and then contact an attorney. This is not the type of individual that I am but I do want things made right. I am hoping that I am contacted by the corporate office and this is made right. Because this is the second time this has happened to my family, they don't want to eat out any more. What a shame.
Again, all I want is IHOP to make it right, nothing more. If they don't I will consult legal counsel and take this as far as I can to include making it public in the news media. We took pictures of what we found and we made sure to get several witnesses of the guests at the IHOP in the event we have to take that route.
I hope IHOP is able to resolve this issue and not be accusitory like thier manager at the Santa Fe IHOP.
This information is for the IHOP management.
My Name is Michael Salazar and my phone number is (505)310-2329 if you want to call me to resolve this issue. If I am not contacted by Monday at 8:00 am I will take it that the company does not wish to resolve the issue and I will consult legal counsel. |

I was discriminated against because I am white and over age 40 when I applied at two IHOP's in GA..one in Monroe and one in Athens. Managers at both stores told me on the phone they were hiring. I got all dressed up and drove down to both stores, filled out an application and waited and waited and it was obvious to me that they lied. Despite my considerable waitressing and hostessing experience at similar fast food restaurants, as well as am an experienced private music teacher, I was snubbed. In Monroe, GA I had been told to sit down and fill out the app and that the manger would be with me shortly. I turned in the app and waited and waited and finally when I asked how much longer, was told that the manger had gone home! I applied at IHOP because I used to eat at this restaurant frequently with family and now I no longer eat at any IHOP. Also, the service has been terrible and yucky things like finding an old bag of Sweet and Low at the bottom of the coffe, etc. Same with the poor service and poor health standards at the store in Athens, GA. Despite this, I applied, because I think they have a good product and needed to supplement my income. I called the Athens store near the Wal-Mart in Athens and the manager sounded nice and said, yes, they were hiring. Again, I was snubbed. I do notice it is all hispanic and African American waitresses working there, however, many/most of the patrons are white. I am not ugly, and I was dressed very modestly, so it can't be that, and it can't be my experience as I waitressed to pay my way through college. Though it's been a few months, I decided to let the higher up's know about this. I called the Monroe store and was told that Wendy who was the middle aged and kind (white) watress who helped me sit down and went out to the parking lot to tell Mo I was waiting, she is no longer there and I'm told by the new general manager that Wendy was the general manager. I asked for the head manager's name and was at first only given Mo, the district manager's name, and the new general manager (a woman who sounds middle aged and white), would not at first give me his last name, and then said she couldn't spell it. I told her since she is a manager, surely she must know her district manager's last name. I asked her just to pronounce it since I have been a legal secretary and can probably figure out how to spell it. She finally came back to the phone and said his name is Mo Abouelella.
I think he was probably the one who was to interview me in Monroe that day, and probably the one who decided to go home instead and let me sit there waiting and waiting. Not only is their service very poor, but the discrimination, I believe, was very intentional and I have not eaten at any IHOP since, and especially not the Athens and Monroe locations, where I used to bring my family. Who will address this obvious discrimination in hiring going on, not to mention the poor service. I also notice one of the above comments complaining at how the employees were being treated by a supervisor sounds like they are/were hiring illegals and then intimidating them. After reading the many comments above, I am also wondering if the poor service that we have experienced almost every time we have eaten at IHOP is also intentional. |

Monroe GA & Athens, GA Disgusting service. Monroe GA served me coffee with an open empty dirty old stained bag of Sweet N Low in it..I don't even drink my coffee with sugar, let alone care to have a dirty cup I was served with the filthy empty sugar bag in it. This is not the first time horrible service has seemed almost deliberate. Same in Athens, GA, with the exception of one white waitress one Sunday, however, every time I returned to the Athens location next to the Wal-Mart and Wendy's near Epps Bridge Parkway--same problem. After reading others' posts, I'm wondering if the poor service isn't deliberate when it is so rampant in so many locations across the U.S.
Worse yet, being low on cash as a music teacher, I decided to apply and called the Monroe, GA restaurant and was told on the phone by Mo Abouelella that they were hiring in Monroe. I got all dressed up and drove down there, filled out the app with all of my waitress and hostessing experience on it, where I've worked in similar fast food places. Before I filled out the app I was told the manager would see me, only to sit and sit and finally after waiting a very long time, when I asked the waitress how long she thought it would be, I was told he had left for the day! I believe it was discrimination because I am white and over 40, though many people tell me I am attractive, and though I was dressed modestly. I called back to see when they would be making a decision re hiring me, and was told a lame excuse, something like that they had already hired someone and yet I called back immediately. The same thing happened to me when I called the Athens, GA restaurant. I was told on the phone they were hiring, and then I got there and was told they already hired someone! All within a few minutes!! I did notice that all of the waitress are hispanic or African Americans, though the areas are not primarily of this ethnicity. I called the Monroe store today to complain about discrimination in hiring and was told by the new general manager that Wndy who actually seemd to care about hiring me and made the effort to get the manager from the parking lot and told the waitress to give me an application to fill out..I hear she is no longer there. The new GM at first did not want to tell me Mo's last name and said she couldn't spell it until I let her know I've been a legal secretary who is good at spelling, and asked her just to pronounce it. She then gave me Mo's last name.
Worse yet is the post by Ann G that seems to say they hire illegals. Maybe it's only in Asburn, VA--maybe not. See her post as follows:

this information is just to open an oportunity to headquaters office just to make a big ramark about especific ihop located in ashburn va . unfortunally not many will never spike about it just beacuse there is a fear to this particulary MG ;but if you ever open in investigation about the actions has been taken on some employees ,i beg the company to do something about this is been to many injustice to alot god people ,not only the fact that she discriminated some of them ,some times she take actions not in a profesional way; Owners are aware of the situacion and they never do anything, she hire people who are not elegible to work and take vantage of they rights as like some of them been fired for the only reazon like call out sick she tread people if they do she'll
let them go, even if they bring proof of it ,and talk to them in a way that sounds offensive ,please you alwasy listen to a god customer words this time listen to your own company an do something for them, don't let Her to continue wiht this ,I know that almost every person is replaceble but not always ,yu're loosing very god people and after we leave the company we are not very welcome to the place we used to love we are treated like criminals by her. Let's keep our community happy .

I have never went to a restaurant where the waiter and waitress was treated with no respect from there manjor in front of customers I do want take my children because of the langue used in there it is so unprofessional. Also it take for ever for someone to come to our table to sever us it was like they was picking who they wanted to sever I prefere to drive to Zion cross road than to eat at the Charlottesville location and I live around the block from the Charlottesville one I just feel sorry for them cause the Gm just let it happen.

Why does IHOP add so much FAT and SUGAR to their foods? Reading the Nutritional Content from many restaurants IHOP has the worst FAT, SUGAR and CALORIC content of any restaurant in America.
Terrible Omelet
IHOP Spinach and Mushroom Omelette (no pancakes on the side)
910 calories
71 g fat (26 g saturated, 1 g trans)
1,580 mg sodium
You can make this same omelet at home for roughly 300 calories. What sets IHOP's apart? The absurd amount of cheap fats being tossed around the kitchen. This thing has more saturated fat than a half stick of butter, and if you opt for the pancakes on the side, you can tack another 450 calories onto your nutritional debt. |

INSTANT POTATOES. I TOLD HER TO JUST BOX IT UP AND I WOULD TAKE IT WITH ME BUT SHE INSISTED THAT I EAT IT THERE. EVERYONE WAS FINISHED AND ALL WE WANTED WAS TO GET OUT OF THERE. I TOLD HER “NO!” 3 TIMES BEFORE SHE WOULD LISTEN. I TOLD HER I WAS NOT UPSET AND THAT I WOULD EAT THE HOME FRIES.
10. WE COULD NOT GET KETCHUP FROM OUR WAITRESS FOR THE FRENCH FRIES SO WE PICKED UP 3 EMPTY BOTTLES OF KETCHUP AND STILL GOT NO KETCHUP. SHE NEVER CAME BACK TO THE TABLE.
11. WE SAT AND WAITED FOR THE CHECK WHICH NEVER CAME.
12. WE STARTED TO GET UP AND HERE COMES THE WAITRESS WITH THIS CONGEALED BLOB IN A BOWL AND TRIED PUTTING IT DOWN IN FRONT OF JEFF. WE THOUGHT IT WAS A CRÈME BRULE DESERT AS AN APOLOGY BUT INSTEAD IT WAS HIS ICE COLD SOUP.
13. HE TOLD HER THAT HE DID NOT WANT IT ANYMORE AND SHE SAID, (WHICH JUST FLOORED US), “WELL IT’S ON YOUR BILL”. I IN NOT A KIND MANNER TOLD HER TO TAKE IT OFF! SHE TURNED ON HER HEELS AND LEFT THE TABLE NEVER COMING BACK.
14. AT THAT POINT I TOLD THEM TO FORGET ABOUT MY DINNER.
15. WE STILL DID NOT RECEIVE THE CHECK SO WE MADE OUR WAY TO THE REGISTER.
THE MANAGER RANG EVERYTHING UP EXCEPT THE SOUP AND MY DINNER. TOLD US ONCE AGAIN HOW SHE HAD NO COOK, HOW SHE HAS LET EVERYONE GO, HOW SHE WAS TIRED AND WHAT A BAD DAY IT HAD BEEN.
16. SHE OFFERED NO COMPENSATION SHE OFFERED ONLY EXCUSES. THE WAITRESS HAD THE MOST LAX ATTITUDE OF ANYONE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED IN THE INDUSTRY BUT ANOTHER WAITRESS APOLOGIZED TO US FOR HER BEHAVIOR AND THE MESS.
17. WE WALKED OUT OF THE IHOP AT 11:30 PM FRUSTRATED AND SHAKEN BY THE POOR TREATMENT, LAX ATTITUDE, INCOMPETENCE AND LACK OF CONCERN. I AM SURE YOU CAN GUESS THAT WE WILL NEVER BE BACK AND WE WILL MOST ASSUREDLY SHARE THIS WITH ANYONE AND EVERYONE WE ENCOUNTER.
I DON’T OFTEN COMPLAIN BUT WHEN I DO FIND IT NECESSARY TO WRITE A CRITIQUE I DO SO IN A CONSTRUCTIVE MANNER SO AS NOT TO CAUSE ANY UNDUE STRIFE BUT IN THIS CASE I AM SO DISGUSTED AND ANGRY I CANNOT FIND ONE THING FOR WHICH TO BE POSITIVE.
PLEASE ACCEPT MY APOLOGIES AND PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME.
SINCERELY,

| I just returned from breakfast with 3 other adults. After sitting for 30 minutes, the waitress brought 3 of us our food, the third person had to wait another 15 minutes. After having to ask for silverware, butter and syrup, (I finally got up and got the the stuff myself} we finally got to taste our food. My eggs were ice cold as was my friends hashbrowns. We asked the waitess to take them back to kitchen, which she did. She brought them back;they were so hard they must have been put in the microwave for at least 5 minutes. I just called the young lady and told her to forget it. This is the 2nd and last time, that I have eaten at IHop (in two different states}. The first visit was just as bad as this. After reading the reviews, it seems to be a corporate problem, not individual locations. |

This Ihop listed above was just rude and poor customer service to me and (3) three of my friends. We were place at a small table, that requested to leave, but was given grief about wanteed to leave. The waitress was never available to wait are tale to include making sure we had all are food. I had to get up twice to go get are food. Later I found hair in my food and got up to report it to another waitress. later a manager came out explaining to replace but I did not want to eat there, so I left. When I was heading out she was demanding me to pay for a orange that I express that I did not want. She went as far as blocking me from getting into my vehcile. Over all I was dissappointed with the customer care, and the way they demanded me and from my friends to pay for a drink that came with a meal I order that had hair in it. The Manager was just RUDE! her name was Shelby. |

On February 8, my husband and I went into the Ihop in West hills, Ca for a meal.
As I was reading my menu, I felt a sharp blow to my right temple and eye. I was stunned and hurt. Apparently, the waitress was jamming a heavy rubber carafe lid
into a coffee pot near me and it shot out and whacked me hard.
I was crying and no longer hungry, so we left. The young hostess told my husband that she saw the whole incident and gave him the manager's phone number.
Well, I had a headache for two weeks and bad fatigue. I also had a retinal bleed in the affected eye and have had to get injections directly in my eye. The bleed remains however and is still in my visual field.
IHOP's insurance company Allied (Nationwide) was sure on their side. They would not even pay my medical bills because the waitress and hostess both lied and said it never happened. My husband and I are sick about this.
We are willing to take a polygraph or whatever it takes to prove that the disgusting employees are lying to save their hides. We are getting a lawyer now |

| ihop is not only the filthiest restaurant, but has the worst service and managers and scam customers all the time. i tried 3 locations thinking maybe it was just isolated to one location of ihop..i found all 3 places i tried, the restaurant was not clean, service was extremely poor, and the manager who gave me a hard time about my senior citizen discount was very rude. he got very upset but did eventually correct my bill to show the discount..i left the resaurant to go to my car when the manager came out yelling at me..i was shocked..he approached me in a an agressive manner yelling you did not leave a tip for the waitress..i said thats right as i stated to him at checkout that i had to wait a long time to get waited on...then the order was wrong and had to wait for the right entree, then the waitress never even came back to ask do i need a refill for my soda or anything..then i had to deal with him for the discount..he yelled dont come back to my restaurant again...i said you expect to get paid for a dirty place, poor service, and rude behavior and trying to cheat a senior citizen..i told him move away from me or i will call the cops..he turned and stormed back into his restaurant..this was at the ihop in fairless hills, pa the other locations were in bensalenm and feasterille pa..which i tried later--and still poor service, unclean environment and the food was not the best. |

She was not only rude, but we felt that she was only their to make money. She was very busy talking to the other servers, Sorry we interrupted her social hour. | I went into the Ihop in Lake Wales on State RD 60. I have never seen such rude managers in my life. That lady talks to the servers and staff like they are a piece of garbage. She has no respect for the individuals that help run that location. I dont understand how they can let someone be over others with this type of unprofessional management behavior. They food is ok but not with the Head manager yelling at the workers like she can do it all. Some people dont need to be a boss. They need to learn how to treat others. |

| My family and I ate at the IHOP in Warrington PA and used a coupon, buy one breakfast get the second of "equal or lesser value for $.99". We were very surprised when we were told that it was the restaurants policy to apply the coupon the the least priced breakfast regardless of how many meals were purchased and regardless of the price. We purchased 3 breakfast meals. 1) $9.99 (+ $1.99 add on) 2) $9.98 3) $6.99. $6 was removed from the check instead of $8. The highest cost meal, even without the add on was $9.99, and the second highest was $9.98. The coupon should have been applied to the $9.98 meal, not the $6.99 meal. This practice is deceiving and dishonest to take the discount off of the lowest price meal on the check. If that is IHOP policy then, the fine print on the coupon should clearly state that when more that two meals are purchased that 'the discount will apply to the lowest price meal'. |

I just returned home from my weekly PANCAKE HOUSE CHEESE BLINTZES AND I AM SOOOO UPSET. THEY REPLACED THE REGULAR CHEESE WITH SOMETHING MORE RUNNY...SUPPOSEDLY LOWER IN CALORIES!...I am so depressed!...
Number 1: I don't go to IHOP to watch my calories!
Number 2: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it! Offer the lower cal cheese as an option!
If you don't change it back...you've lost a customer

| We have been to the I Hop in Hermitage, Tn. several times for breakfast. We have had consistent bad service and now drive a little further to Cracker Barrel. Can someone please explain to me why this is allowed to continue? We have friends that also live in Hermitage, Tn. and they have had the same horrible and rude service. |

I am a former server and manager on duty/shift leader at IHOP. I'm making this comment in regards to several other comments I've seen on here. Understand that IHOP's first and foremost goal is to have happy customers. Also, understand that if you come in with a chip on your shoulder (like I've been reading), nothing that anyone in that building says will make you happy. I know customers like that as I dealt with them everyday. Now, the Kids Eat Free promotion states on the menu the regs for getting the free meal. The temp is set to make sure the ones cooking and serving your food are comfortable (unless you like smelling armpits while your food is being server), so grab a light sweater.
If you feel like someone's tampering with your food, bring it to the manager's attention IMMEDIATELY. Make sure you have your money/credit card on you before ordering. You wouldn't believe the scams us managers see. I never believe someone's gonna come back and pay. You leaving without paying is theft of services. I personally called the cops several times for it. I've busted customers putting their own hair in food, wanting a free meal.
Remember also that your server only makes $1.88 an hours........THAT'S IT! $2.13 is minimal wage, minus $0.25 for employee meal allowance to get 1/2 off at most franchises. It's automatically deducted. Tip them. That's how they feed their family! |

| Came to IHOP at Branson. Probably 25 people waiting. Cashier said "hostess was hot and chewing someone out". Over 7 tables empty. 3 parties left when they saw line. When seating began, at least 3 parties had left. One party told 15 minute wait... Had been there 45 minute. No manager in sight. |

| Went to IHOP in location around 2am Mar 6th 2011 Me and my husband had sat there along with many in the non smoking section that had not got served or even our order taken many had got up and just left we waited alittle bit longer as a waitress finally came to our table I had gave my order and was taking to my husband as he was fixing to order and the waitress turned around to say I was talking mess to her and turned around and left our table and refused to take our order. As we got up to leave I spoke with the manager as the waitress came back over talking all kinds of mess again to us. One the cooks came out and started to. We are regular people there but not no more. IHOP in Enid OK. needs to be looked at as far as what is going on there with this buisness.... |

| Several days ago we had lunch at the I HOP restaurant 1283 in Sunset Plaza - St. Louis,Mo. the waitress took our order and we waited for an hour to be served - when we asked when the food would come she walked away and another waitress came and was very rude - this is our last trip to the I HOP - our food was cold and only half served - when we asked about the rest we waited once again - this really is unexceptional and very poor business - I HOP should make this 1283 restaurant inspected on such conditions |

THE BROOKLYN IHOP LOCATED ON 276 LIVINGSTON IS THE WORST ................
This is the worst manaaged franchise I've complained to Julia Costello many times. The reason it sucks is because its privately owned no one has accountabilty there.. ( they just don't care ")
I showed up with my mother after 7 months from the last visit which I walked out of for poor service. I complained like now and of course nothing was done <
This time I lasted about 5 minutes for your employees to just mull around the front desk like retards without seating us ( the store had 3 customers in it at the time ) I walked out as usual what a waste of time ,,,,,I expect no response from you as in the past I will just forward the emails again to HQ and they will like you do nothing . So I just give this review for others to read about this lousy , terrible , poor excuse for a restaurant ... |

| Dear Sir, The purpose of this letter is to inform you of the idiocy of some of your personnel at IHOP located at 8640 E. Freeway, Ft, Worth, TX. On 15 Feb.2011 at about7:00 PM, my wife an I went there for evening meal. Some sort of witless music was blaring over the sound system. It consisted of female voices screaming lyrics accompanied by heavy drumming---not at all conducive to a pleasent dining experience. I asked the waitress to have the volume lowered, and she said she would. If she did it was not apparent as my wife and I suffered through our meal and were only too glad to leave. It seems that the personnel who work there are more interested in their own pleasure and the customer be-damned. |

Okay, first of all, is there an option to mark for a star that is in the negative??? I live in Bellingham, WA. We used to have 2 Ihop locations. The first one used to be very reliable, comfortable, and welcoming until a man by the name of Asa purchased the establishment. Eventually, things began to slip, and Ihop was not on our list of favorites. Asa also opened a second location on Bakerview (a very popular area of town). He decided to close the original location, and concentrate on his current one. WELL, we have attempted to eat there several times, and each time, I have had to send something back. Just today we were there for the LAST time. One person at the table ordered fruit, and it was brown, soft, and very NASTY. I called the server to our table and asked "Would you eat that?" She says "Actually, I prefer my food a bit on the brown side." Okay...this is a RESTAURANT! I said "a squirt of lemon juice would have prevented that." She simply rolled her eyes, took the bowl of mush, and left. The next few plates are delivered; the eggs for one order are completely raw (not sunny side up), the meat on another plate was cold and slimy, and another plate had chicken fried steak that when cut, smelled like rotting meat!
The most depressing thing about this whole situation is a piece of information I just found out today. According to the Bellingham Police reports, Asa was cited for animal cruelty. He allowed a dog to deteriorate on a chain, outside. The dog was not helped until it was too late, and according to the report, Asa allowed the dog to become so severe, there were maggots infesting the dog while it was still alive. Now, I ask, who wants to give their money to an animal hater????
We are so disgusted with Asa's actions, his lack of abilities to run a corporate restaurant that used to have a good reputation, and his lack of appreciation for overall quality regarding the food, and service!
Ihop should be ashamed to have someone like Asa running a corporate establishment! |

| I want to know if the IHOP is an equal opportunity employer. The IHOP that we frequent has employees who are all of one nationality. NO whites, NO blacks, NO asians. Just curious as I thought it was against the law to discriminate against ANY race. |

| Although the food is always great at ihop in reading pa the waiting is terrible I think it could be handle alittle better. Instead of having a whole crowd standing all by the front entrance cause it's cold and people do not want to miss their name being called I think you guys should have a beeper system where customer can wait in their cars. This would take care of the over crowded entrance. I think store # 5502 makes enough profit to afford this system that other restaurants have already. You lose alot of customer without this. |

| Let's start with my birthday, I called the IHOP across the street from where I live in Pompano Beach, Fl. Whomever answered stated yes we do honor a free birthday meal. For me it make a difference one way or another. I have been frequenting IHOP since I was five years old with my father in Lynbrook, LI NY. Love the Blueberry pancakes. The waiter Ricardo came to the table we ordered and we mentioned the meal for birthdays, his response was well if you don't have this card then it does not apply. Like I said it didn't matter to me. Well the location is under new management and the manager came over and asked is everything okay? I explained what Ricardo stated and needless to say I did receive my mail for free. Folks I have been in the restaurant business for 25 years. #1 the customer is always right even if he is wrong. Good customer service is all in the delivery of how you approach the customer and how you share with them what you can and cannot do due to management rules. This evening I went in again and who was there? Ricardo fancy Ricardo no pun intended but he is blatantly rude to the customers. I am calling in a complaint to IHOP's Corporate Headquarters and giving them a piece of my mind. |
BMC - Pompano Beach Fl | 1/19/11 |
| It amazes me to read these postings about IHOP!!! I am also saddened to hear employees being treated so poorly. Every story has two sides however if you own a coporation and you read these snippets wouldn't you think someone would step up and do something. Obviously they do not seem to care. This evening I went in yet again to IHOP and fancy Ricardo was there. A young couple very quiet of african american descent asked to substitute extra fries instead of the eggs and sausage. You tell me which costs more the fries or the sausage. I understand that you have rules and regulations regarding no substitutions. This is a bit ridiculous, there were two to three tables in the place. The business has dropped tremendously. You would think they would want to make the sale #1 and #2 keep the customer coming back. Well needless to say they lost the sale. I was furious with fancy Ricardo as it was not my first encounter with him. He runs through the joint yelling and screaming that they need to put an evening manager on. I asked our waitress for the coporate number I called it rings once then goes to busy signal. Went online to look up coporate office numbers. Called the one in CA, got this number 800-241-4467 where they answered and said please call back during normal business hours. Believe you me I will not let this rest!!! I am going back to complain to the manager and if that doesn't work I will call "Help Me Howard". We will see if Ricardo is still as fancy. |

The wortst service ever. Also, friend's purse was stollen and we know it was one of the employee's and when they tried to look at the camera they had the nerve to tell us that the Camera stopped working on the 15th of January 2011 and here we are January 24th and this happen on 22 of January @ 1:00 a.m.
The police came and checked everything out but he was worthless too......The police looked in the dumpster right behind the back door of Ihop and found nothing....my husband took the flashlight away from the police and shinned it into the drumpster himself and found the cell phone so now we no for sure it had to be an employee becaUse we kept calling the phone and they did not want the phone to ring in the kitchen so they just threw the phone in the dumpster where the purse went we do not know.........
To me an inside deal........... |

Get. Better customer service training!!!! Lo
The customer service in your Brooklyn Center, MN, location leaves much to be desired. When you know you are out of part of the order, offer a chance, for the cuslotomer to change their selection, before locking in their order.
If part of the selection is unavailable, within 1 minute of placing the order, it is sad that they won,t allow an alternative choise.
It is also sad that corporate isn,t going to care about these posts any way. |

On
Thursday, 1/13/11, I and three others went to the IHop on I35&Main St, Lewisville, Tx.at about 11:30 A.M. We had an hour for lunch and I informed the server of this. She acknowledged this and took our order. Fifteen minutes later I went to find out what the hold up was. I observed the server thumbing a stack of pancakes and dipping into what appeared to be the butter tub that was sitting in a wash sink. She proceded to eat something which looked to me as if she had buttered a piece of pancake.
I told the rest of my group and, of course, all others within the sound of my voice of this. I told another server I wanted to see the manager. I had to ask twice. He showed up about three or four minutes later. I told him about the occurance. He said he would check into it. We left. I then let 28 others at my meeting know about this.
Since we are teachers, you can imagine how far this is going to travel. |

| My husband and I ate at the IHOP in Branson on New Years Day- huge mistake. We had a server named Vic that smelled of alcohol. He was hasty and rude with us. I don't know if he forgot to turn in our order, but from the time we ordered until we got our food was outrageous. We overheard him tell another server "what bullshit this place was". Very unprofessional to say the least. If you dine at IHOP be sure and request that you don't receive this man as a server. You will save yourself a headache. |

| Nashua NH location Dec 28 (Tuesday) Took my son and daughter to breakfast. Waited in lobby with many others for 4o min to be seated while the dining area to the left was completely empty. When seated we ordered coffee waitress left with caraffe and came back with only two cups of coffee in the whole thing! Finally she came back to take our order and we asked for more coffee which never came. Food arrived to the table almost 30 min later and everybody's food was cold. Toast was dry and hard like somoene was back there making piles ahead. We sent food back. Waitress told the shift manager who was near us that our food was cold, he didnt even take a moment to speak to us. Food came right back warmer... They microwaved the plates!!!! so now my over easy eggs were hard. Not what I wanted at all. None of us were happy with the meal. Also saw servers bussing their own tables. I think the issue is a staffing problem. Will NEVER go again. Hot Tip: Denny's exit six |

Here's the problem with complaints to corporate.....sometimes they are false. I worked at an IHOP where another associate was upset that another associate and I gained positions that she wanted. So she decided to have her spouse and friends make false complaints to the corporate office. After a few complaints our boss figured it out and proved one of them was her spouse...........my take on complaints is that they should be investigated throughly. So a district manager came in and was very rude to me and wanted them to fire me over something I didn't do. I'll admit the day that the district manager ate there and I had to wait on him it probably wasn't the best meal he had as we had a new cook, and another table was not pleased.....however it doesn't make it right to lie on somebody and accuse them of things they did not do.
Also to the people with bad IHOP bosses, there are some that are very bad and corporate does not monitor their practices. As far as I know as long as IHOP gets their franchising fees from the owner.....la la la la la. |

Just remember people vote with your dollars and dont elect these people... |

| My father and I went to the IHOP restaurant located on 2620 Central Park Avenue Yonkers, NY 10710-1126. As we sat down, our waitress took an unusually large amount of time to walk over to our table. When she finally came to take our drink order, we ordered 2 coffees. We ordered one with half and half, and the other with milk. Five minutes later, she brought over a large glass of milk, one coffee cup, and a small metal container of regular milk on the side. When I was curious to why she didn't bring the other cup, I asked are you going to bring over the second cup? She answered, "Oh you ordered a cup of coffee too?" This was surprising because I was the one who ordered the original cup of coffee. When she came over once again, she brought over the other cup and started pouring it while she was having a side conversation with the other waitress. She was spilling the coffee over the table while she was having the conversation, and never even bothered to clean it up. While all this was going on, my father and I couldn't help but notice the many mistakes being made at the other tables surrounding us. There were mistakes with the wrong check, wrong orders, wrong drinks, and overcharging complaints. We have a family owned restaurant ourselves, so we couldn't help but notice all the repetitive mistakes the employees were making. We were very disappointed at the service your IHOP was providing and recommend some serious changes! |

We were there when the restuarant opened and unfortunately we cannot give our good money to a company that doesnt care.....

I previously worked at ihop located in Lansing Kansas. I stopped working there because of rumors of employees having sexual relations with the manager and the waitress has a sexual transmitted disease and she dont wash her hands after she uses the bathroom and then she touches the food. When i went to try to go get my job back I was so discriminated because im pregnant and the manager are unfair to the employees. I would never eat at this location and every restrutant should wear gloves while touching our food. very unstanitary. WORSE PLACE TO EAT.....

Lucy G. Pearl | 11/18/10 |
My name is Lucy G. Pearl and I reside in Bowie, Md. at 14958 Nashua Lane. My family and I have been IHOP customers for many years. We have eaten in just about every IHOP in the Washington, DC. Metropolitan Area. We especially enjoy the Bowie one. We liked everything about it until November 14, 2010. My Mom, my friend and I went to IHOP in Bowie, ordered our food and were very happy with the food, service, etc. All three of us are over age of 55. Because of our ages, we have always gotten a discount off of our bill. We are well aware of your policy that in order to get a discount we must order from the regular menu and not the senior one. So, this past Sunday all three of us ordered from the regular menu. When I went to pay, the cashier informed me that we cannot get any discount because the meals that we ordered were some sort of special and discount did not apply. So, I pointed out to the young lady that one meal on the bill was not "special" and she informed me that discount could not be applied because all the meals were on the same ticket. Then I told her that when the 3 of us ate at that same IHOP a week ago and had the same items, we received the discount. She replied that whoever gave us the discount was wrong.
So I am curious to know if your policy regarding Senior Citizen discounts changed, why was it not posted in the menu or displayed in some other way? We are well aware that the orders from the Senior Side of the menu are already discounted so it only stands to reason that we cannot get additional discount. However, we were never refused discount on any of the items ordered from the regular menu even if it was some sort of a "special" that was being promoted. I feel that our treatment as customers was very disrespectful and unfair. This IHOP gets a lot of business from the Senior Citizens and I am sending a letter of our mistreatment to the local paper.
As I stated earlier, we were extremely pleased with our server Manuel J 164. He was polite, acomodating our every request and I feel he deserves a raise. I hope someone from your Headquarters checks these letters on regular basis and takes action accordingly.
Thank you for your time and assistance in this matter.
Sincerely,
Lucy G. Pearl |

| OK.. I just called the Jenkintown PA IHOP to place an order for pick up. The ignorant man that picked up the phone literally said to me " Can you call back later, we are really busy right now." HUH???? Is this for real? I just hung up and went somewhere else for lunch. Thanks IHOP...you have awesome business people working for you! Has anyone ever heard of such nonsense? |

On Friday, the 29th of Oct.2010, My parents and I decided to dine at the IHOP in Pasadena, Texas. While sitting at the table, we noticed how rude the manger (Tim) spoke to all the staff. He snapped his fingers at them would give more than one instruction to each one and expected them to hop to it before they even completed the first task. He yelled and was very very forceful. He heard a woman being quite loud and it caught our attention. All of the customers could hear and see him. Not one of the wait staff smiled, we state in front of the kitchen and could see the cooks were under the same kind of abuse. We saw one wait staff very upset and another in the restroom washing her face because she had been crying after he yelled at her. I asked my server if this was normal and she said yes that he was very mean to all of them and this was the norm for him. She stated that he had hit one of the girls and claimed that it was an accident. Although our service and food was excellent, this manager ruined the whole atmosphere. Hiring management like this does not create a good dining experience for a customer as myself or for that matter, any family. I did speak to Tim who stated he was under staffed and very stressed but it was very clean he was well staffed and very little customer were there at the time. I am and have been so disturbed by this incident and the conditions which those employees have to work under. I love to eat at IHOP, but will not return to this location as long as this manager is employed there. Customer satisfaction includes not just the food but staff moral, environment. Please take care of this problem because as I read through some of the other reviews I saw some just like mine and that made me even more upset. |

| for people who eat here everyday, the waitress is doing you a favor by treating you poorly. Poor service will in turn, make you dine less, which will result in you not dying from morbid obeisity. |

| Saturday, October 23, 2010 at approximately 1:00am at the IHOP at 1919 Prairie Crossing St Kansas City, KS 66111 (913) 788-4468. I was with a small group of friends (4 of us total) and we walked in the restaurant laughing. Before we could all get in the door a police office stood up and said, "You will not be eating here tonight." To avoid confrontation, we turned around and left. This was very rude and unfair. We deserve an explanation. |

| I too encountered bad service at an Ihop Restaurant. My son and I came in to dine for lunch. T my dismay a bug (flylike) creature was in my water. After notifying the waitress, it was dismissed as "Oh something flew ito their huh". The manager Sheryl was also very unprofessional, and insensitive to this complaint. I was furthermore outraged that she expected us to pay for the balance of the meal by dismissing it as a tiny mishap. This should never occur in a restaurant. Perhaps the demographics of this location is a result of poor service but further reading of other complaints here tells me otherwise. I did pay but I will call my inspector friend imediately who works for the local news in NY . She lives for this and insisted that I should have called her immediately. |

ANTS ALL OVER OUR TABLE....... To start this horrid visit out when we walked into this IHOP that we had never been to before it took the host over five minutes to come and seat us. That should have been our first warning to turn and run. This location was not very busy and there were plenty of open tables. Once we were finally seated we waited around ten to fifteen minutes for someone to come and get our drink order. Finally the "someone" was the host/manager who realized we still had no drinks on our table and came to get us our warm tap water. No, we didn't order warm water we ordered ice water. As we watched the lady who we assumed was our waitress clean off tables and give refills to other tables we waited patiently for her to make it to our table to take our order. Twenty minutes after getting our drinks a completely different waitress(whom we never seen again) came and took our order. We did not order anything complicated or crazy let me say that much. Very simple and basic menu items. I am seven months pregnant so I am eating basic foods. 2 eggs with cheese, 1 pancake, and hashbrowns is what I ordered. My boyfriend ordered 3 eggs, 3 pancakes, and 4 pieces of turkey sausage links. Not rocket science at this point folks. We had a typical wait after we ordered our food for any breakfast place on a Sunday. No big deal on the wait for the food. Once the food got to the table it was brought out by a different waitress. The one we thought was our waitress to begin with. My eggs had no cheese and there was no hashbrowns on my plate. My boyfriends sausage was not turkey and his hashbrowns were burned. At least he got his hasbrowns my pregnant brain was thinking. When we finally get the waitress to come back to the table she takes my plate and goes to the kitchen piles a COLD handful of cheese on my now cold eggs and puts hashbrowns on my plate and brings it back. I am at this point hungry and starting to get beyond angry. We have on our table no pepper, ketchup, or hot sause which was requested at the time of our order with the second person that gave us service. After waiting for a few minutes my boyfriend got up and went to another table grabbed pepper and then headed to the kitchen area and got himself some ketchup and hot sause. We are both 1000 percent sure we will never come back to this place again nor leave even so much as a penny for a tip at this point. We just wanted to eat what we could and get the heck outta that place. IT GETS WORSE PEOPLE! Anyone who has eaten at IHOP knows the syrup is kept in a little rack with three to four choices. When my boyfriend picks up a syrup to poor on his food our table gets over run with ANTS!!! I put my fork down walk to find the "manager/ waiter/host" and bring him to the table. I explain our horrid visit and kindly let him know he is outside of his mind if he thinks we are spending one dime on this meal and then my boyfriend stood up to leave. The manager's response... " WOW I AM SORRY, WOW" Boy does IHOP know how to pick their managment staff! I have been a manager at a "Big Box Retail Store" for over five years. I can warn your company now that if this is the NEW standard for your restaurants and service it stinks and you are gonna lose good customers to other choices. My biggest regret is that I ate a bite from my plate. If that was the standard for the tables then YIKES for the standards in the kitchen!

So we could see into the kitchen because of all the yelling we were able to make out the employees names a cook named jack spit in another cook emmitts face while he called him names including "a black man" jack being white it is clear what th e. Problem was I recently went back just to see what had happen and I am amazed to say jack stillworks there! | I ate breakfast last night at around 10:00 and found a bone in my sausage. It chipped my tooth and grossed me out. My boyfriend obviously didnt eat his because he was disguisted by what I found in mine. The waitress asked us why we didnt eat our breakfast and I showed her the bone. She said "gross" and called the manager Mike over right away. He said they dont make the sausage there at IHOP (DUH!) and he took my plate away. The waitress apologized for me finding the bone and spoke with the manager for a few minutes. We were never offered anything else after our plate was taken off the table. The manager was as rude as he could be but said he would take 1 sausage off... (he didnt really want to). We got the check and noticed there was nothing taken off..We werent looking for a free breakfast here but C'mon? To make matters even worse..We needed change and the manager made us wait 25 minutes to get our change. We had to go find our waitress and tell her we wanted our change and she gave us $5 back instead of the $8. She also said "Im not giving you the receipt". My boyfriend went and asked the manager for a receipt and the manager Mike pushed him and said "get out of my restaurant!" I have never been so disgusted with any place of business like I have with this one. |

| this review is for the one and only ihop in lawton oklahoma.my name will be undisclosed seeing as how im a employee there.cooperate needs to get involved with this particular store soon.there is just too much going on i dont know where to start.first of all when one manager offers a customer vip status and tells all of the employees in front of that customer to make sure they get it and then that manager is no longer working there that doesnt mean you should crap on your customer because its new management.especially when there are 4 servers that are on shift that have been there for years that know that customer does in fact have vip status.then to yell at those vips at the register.that means people who were going to this ihop for years will no longer return because of a manager with a im the boss complex.this manager has also came to a table while i was in the middle of taking their order, interrupted the customer in the middle of a order and yelled at my table saying they couldnt change a meat for a vegetable when they were changing tomatoes for onions.i said "sir they are changing tomatoes for onions" he then said 'i dont care what you say you cant change meat for vegetables" then he stomped off.holy crap customer service at its best what the heck? my table then asked me which of the 2 was the meat and all i could say was i guess the tomatoes since there red and kind of fleshy and we just kind of laughed it off and i solved the problem and kept them happy but the point of it is he interrupted the customer then yelled at the customer he obviously wasnt listening to the customer or me for that matter.then of course theres the fact that wed night after the cook was sent home because we had no business...gee i wonder why....and that manager had to cook.my table ordered the specials we have running right now which is all you can eat pancakes....this manager had the audacity the yell really loud from the cooks line "hey does this order come with pancakes?" and he was serious.my table heard and seen this and they said thats your manager?i was ashamed to admit he was.this guy has also yelled at servers in between the two front doors in the lobby in the middle of a rush.welcome to ihop watch our discusting display of public humiliation before your even inside the store.he makes all the staff mad and were all on short fuses with each other by the end of the night.its gotten to the point that cooks have threatened waitstaff and this same manager admits he hears it all yet hes nowhere in visible sight while its happening let alone trying to stop it when it happens in the front of the restaurant with all of our customers to see and hear.let alone that in any job threatening anyone should be automatic termination.you need to find a manager that knows all you can eat pancakes means it has pancakes.preferably someone who understands customer service so that we can do our job as servers and not have the manager ruin that chance of those people coming back.were going to need someone who can overachieve customer service to bring that the business we've lost.and keep in mind while you read this review im not saying all here. |

What the hell happen to the late night crew at IHOP of DAYTONA BCH. I use to go in every night after work, I run 2 Restaurant/Lounges here in DAYTONA BCH. I get off around 3am and the staff, was incredible great at dealing with drunk people( we all know what kinda of people come in on that shift) and knew how to treat customers from the cooks to the servers Eddie,Sheila, and Troy, Amazing servers, I've seen them put up with alot of crap and still deal with all customers in a kind and professional matter. I bring alot of people there. but my attendance is down because troy doesn't work on floor anymore,I heard Troy doesn't work as server because he had to deal with 2 customers who sopposely had bad service, I'm sure they were under the influance, as a GM i get complaints all the time and i do a thorough investgation before i make a huge decision. He is a great server and he has alot of people asking for him as i said i eat there almost every night.....if you wish to contact me my number is 386-383-2887 i;m a very dissatisfied customer......
i don't know what is wrong with your management but it needs alot of improvement i won't be back to Ihop till things have change and improve so i take all my business to Denny's and Steak n Shake |

| I AM WRITTING ABOUT THE IHOP LOCATED I DEDHAM,MA. I KNOW SOMEONE THAT WORKS THERE AN HAVE ASKED ABOUT HOW IT IS TO WORK THERE BECAUSE I HAVE ENJOYED DINNING IN ONE. BUT WHAT I HEAR IT NOT A GOOD PLACE TO WORK IN. I BEEN TOLD THAT THE MANAGERS ARE SEX HARRASED CASES THEY SEXUALLY COME TO ALL THE FEMALE EMPLOYEDS AN MY FRIEND IS IN CHARGE OF A REGUISTER AN HAS BEEN ACCUSED EVERYTIME IT IS SHORT. I TOLD MY FRIEND TO COUNT THE DRAW AS SOON AS THEY PUNCH IN TO MAKE SURE THAT IS THE RIGHT AMOUNT AN HAS FOUND IT SHORT EVEN BEFORE STARTING TO WORK. I WILL LIKE TO SEE SOME CAMERAS PUT ON THE CASH REGUISTERS SO THAT EVERYONE THAT OPEN IT WILL BE SEEN AN THEY CAN CATCH THE PERSON DOING THE STEALLING EVEN IF IT IS MY FRIEND. BUT IF IT IS NOT MY FRIEND THEN ONCE AN FOR ALL WILL KNOW WHO IT IS. NOT TO MEANTION THAT THE MANAGERS ARE SEE TREATING THE FEMALE WORKERS LIKE PLAYING TOYS FOR THEM. |

| Might I ask why your corporate reps. in oklahoma make your waitresses claim min wage in tips even when they don't make it and they suspended a girl today for claiming $5.40 less than they wanted her too. That is fraud that your company is makeing those girls claim and i am gonna call the IRS and let them know how your company is ran. |

10/5/10 Carrollton, GA. No tarter sause. Mgr said "we don't carry it anymore". I suggested that she remove the fish from the menu. I then ordered Pot Roast at 5:50PM. Waiter said "we just ran out". ( before dinner?)
We left and had a satisfactory meal at Dairy Queen.
In my view, the Carrollton GA store is not competive. But does anyone care???? |

| My wife & I eat here on an almost everyday basis (being that we live right around the corner). Today my wife went alone as I am at work & the waitress was very rude after my wife requested a dessert that she recommended and was not available and asked for fruit instead. The waitress for whatever reason was very upset and brought a hot bowl of fruit that appeared to have been sitting out for a long time and also had her hands in the bowl. My wife said to her that it was hot and she had her hands in & the lady was mad, then she looked in the new glass of tea and saw a glob of SPIT! As she is not confrontational...She paid, left & called me. I in turn called the GM & was told that she was making it up, there is no was someone would have spit in her drink or had their hands in her food. I have a real problem with this! |

Your IHOP at above location is excellent for food but half of the chairs at the tables are falling apart and someone is going to be seriously hurt in a fall if they are not fixed. When you go in, you have to go around and find a sturdy chair to set in. The management has been told of the problem but will not fix it. The reflection on IHOP is not good. If someone falls due to a chair collaspe, lawsuits will follow. |

On Wednesday, the 12th of May, some church friends and I decided to dine at the IHOP on 6406 Interstate I-45 in Lamarque, Texas. While sitting at the table, we heard a woman being quite loud and it caught our attention. This woman was yelling at her coworkers in an inappropriate manner. She was very forceful and rude in the dining room where all of the customers could hear. When my server delivered my food to our table, I asked, " Who is that woman"? The server replied," That is our manager, Angela." I apologized to my server for having to work under such degrading conditions. Although our service and food was excellent, this manager ruined the whole atmosphere. Hiring management like this does not create a good dining experience for a customer as myself or for that matter, any family. I am not one to complain, but I have been so disturbed by this incident and the conditions which those employees have to work under. I love to eat at IHOP, but will not return to this location.

| went to the IHOP last saturday after I attended a graduation. It took about 10 minutes before we were seated and it wasn't because the place was occupied but because the host was no where to be found. After we was seated the waiter did not come to take our drink order until the hostess came to ask us if she could take the extra table to sit a group of people who was coming in, it seem they were more worried about people coming in then those who were already there and we asked for some one to come and take our drink order. The waiter Mike came after about 5 minutes and we then notice he had already served the people who had came in behind us their drinks. About 5 minutes after that he came back with our drinks which was 3 waters and 2 O.J. at that time we was ready to order. He took our order and we waited one hour and still had not received our food, I asked to speak to the manager and told him what was going on, he spoke with Mike and Mike told him the reason I order wasn't out was because we came in after the party and they had a large order. This was a out right lie because they borrowed a table from us to sit the party. The most outrageous part was there was only four table filled on that side. The manager did not seem concerned that we had been sitting ther for a hour and did not get served, or that his waiter lied, or that the people who was in line in the front of us was leaving already apparently they had received there ordered, eaten, paid and was leaving. But to added insult to injury as I left I notice this IHOP had two sides and on one side it was all minorities and the other side was all caucasians, and the people who was in front of us in line was white and they service was apparently a hell of a lot better than what we received. I can't believe that it is 2010 and we have a black president and this type of behavior is still tolerated in Texas. I know Denny's have all ways racial problems, but I have eaten at many IHOP's in many different states and have never received this type of treatment. Go Temple Texas |

| I have a daughter that works at IHOP and the management is not fair to any of the employees. The management has the power to make thier lives miserable and they use it to the full advantage. Before you complain about the waitress look towards the management and wonder if they treat these people the way you would want to be treatedif this was your employee. I do not excuse bad service I have had my fair share in many places I have eaten. I do expect good service and I tip accordingly, but before you complain talk to the waitress and tell them they are unexceptable, and everyone does have a bad day and a waitress only makes 2.00 an hour. thank you |

| i worked for the ihop on woodruff road in greenville sc. my experience there was a hard one. the servers were full of drama and the third shift manager was too. i was treated differently . i do believe it was because i was the only african american server on third shift. the only other african american was a cook. besides that, i'd been having problems out of management and nothing was ever done. i watched them put their hands in ppl food. i saw them lie to customers about orders they never put in and yet they still have a job. i was done dirty. that's not the half of it. the owner of the story doesn't even want to talk to me and won't talk to me because is 2nd and 3rd shift managers told lies. we've had meeting after meeting about talking about co-workers outside lives and yet nothing changed. as soon as i ask for change 2 days later i'm unemployed.i loved my job but the ppl there made it extra hard. i think it unfair that i don't have a job and they crooked ones do .. i have seen drug transactions and usage on the premises and nothing be done. i have seen cell phone usage go on after several notice have been posted and nothing be done. i have this one miscommunication and i have no job and the owner won't even listen to what really happened. how is it that a manager can repramand someone in front of other co-workers and customers and still have her job and i don't. tha't past unfair. that's just inhumane. i would very much so like to see something done about this . i can't get change even with proof. so i hope that the coporate office will do something about this. i'd hate to report this to the BBB. |

I live in williamsburg va and I eat at the ihop on richmond road about twice a week and there is a server named yadira I believe and I have never had the most disrespectful and unprofessional service in my life. She is very rude and nasty toward me and she rolls her eyes and slams our food on the table. I have complained about her several times and nothing is ever done. I hope this will be taken care of promptly for my comfort in a family restaurant should be important.

I visited your Agoura Hills, CA facility last night as I did last weekend and the same waitress was very rude to me and my guest, when it came time to pay my bill I realized I forgot my wallet at home (1 mile away)the rude waitress(Anayansi)called the police on me and no less than 12 police cars showed up, I have no idea what kind of lies she said when she called, but she sure brought the full force of the department for someone that forgot their wallet and is a regular customer, also, the total bill was less than $20.00
I would like to thank IHOP for the total embarrasment and complete waste of public resources. |

this information is just to open an oportunity to headquaters office just to make a big ramark about especific ihop located in ashburn va . unfortunally not many will never spike about it just beacuse there is a fear to this particulary MG ;but if you ever open in investigation about the actions has been taken on some employees ,i beg the company to do something about this is been to many injustice to alot god people ,not only the fact that she discriminated some of them ,some times she take actions not in a profesional way; Owners are aware of the situacion and they never do anything, she hire people who are not elegible to work and take vantage of they rights as like some of them been fired for the only reazon like call out sick she tread people if they do she'll
let them go, even if they bring proof of it ,and talk to them in a way that sounds offensive ,please you alwasy listen to a god customer words this time listen to your own company an do something for them, don't let Her to continue wiht this ,I know that almost every person is replaceble but not always ,yu're loosing very god people and after we leave the company we are not very welcome to the place we used to love we are treated like criminals by her. Let's keep our community happy .

| My wife and I stopped at the IHOP on Wedgewood Lane in The Villages, FL at about 4:30 on August 23, 2010. I had my usual 2x2x2 and she had her usual Viva French Toast. All was fine and the waitress was great. We go to this IHOP frequently. That evening I was feeling queazy but my wife who had had surgery that morning seemed okay. I finally went to bed at around 11:30 feeling a bit better. I found out the next morning that my wife had been up most of the night vomiting. I called the location the next day and asked to speak to the Manager. He was busy cooking at the time, so I waited a short while. When I informed him of our situation, he said that it was due to the fact that they use a liquid butter and that in the future we should ask for the eggs to be cooked in real butter (whatever that means). Again, we've been going there for years and not had the problem previously. The Manager never asked whether we were better or worse and basically "blew me off". I will not hesitate to inform our friends about what happened and the resulting response. I hope with the egg situation as it is, that someong looks into this. |

| My Husband and I went to IHOP in Niagra Falls Ontario Canada and bought a total of 1- Belgian Waffle, 4 scrambled eggs, 2 pieces bacon, 2 sausage links 1- coffee and 1- large apple juice.......We were charged $66.00 American Dollars....that outrageous. Keep in mind that the American dollar vs. Canadian have no exchange difference....unacceptable. I am from michigan and I would have only spent about $25.00. We felt raped and robbed...thumbs down IHOP. |

| Our IHOPS here in Enid OK, has no compatition so therefore they can get away with poor service ,cold coffee and sometimes cold food, especially when the cooks and waitresses are out in back of the store, smoking, and sometimes even have the hood up on there car ,working on it! oN there good days if you make a simple order like two eggs hashbrowns and toast, coffee, with maybe two to six people in the place it will still take an average of thirty-five ,forty minutes before your served, evidently these are absentee operators, that don't give a dam about this business, I wish you could build a fire under there ass, you can eat at IHOPS in Oklahoma City, and its wonderful, good service and hot food and coffee, Thankyou. |

| My wife has been an employee of IHOP in the Chattanooga, TN market for over 2 years. She was asked to step up to a manager position from a sever by the DM. After much hesitation she took the job. After less than 6 months she found out she had a nerve problem in her foot and would have to have surgry. The owner David gave her a leave, but then canceled her insurance 2days before the surgry was to take place. I gave him almost $400 to pay for cobra Insurance so she would be able to have the surgry she needed. He said we would recive papers in the mail or he would contact us to get the next payment set up, and we never heard anything about it. It has been about 12 weeks now. Her doctor told her this week she could go back to work part time as her foot is still in the healing process. She told the GM this and he was intically excitied she would be returning. When my wife called him to get her hours for the week he said after talking to the owner and DM they decided it would be best if she didnt come back until she could be 100%. She has been without benifits for over a month and has no income. Ihop is tring to screw her over anyway they can. before she took the mananger position she was only working part time. Her doctor said it could be 6months before she would be completly released. So basically she is stuck. We have 2 childern and the extra income would be really helpful with school cost. I have owned a small company for 4 years and would never treat my employees so crul. If this is the way they treat their employees i would really hate to see how they treat their guest! |

| I just did surgery two weeks ago , went to the doctors this week....decided to go with my daughter who choose ihop. The first one we went to we stood for about 10 minutes so we left, we went to anther ihop ( thats what my daughter wanted ) and it was lunch time. We sat down and we ordered our meals around 12 midday.....12:45 we still did not receive our meal. I spoke very gentle to our waitress who's name was Susan...she responded by saying I was being unreasonable and that they had a party in the back. We decided to leave and then we spoke to the manager whos name is Evelyn 954-721-7666. Evelyn was an absolute sweetheart and sat us back down and came with our orders... the order was wrong and she went back to correct it ! We ate at no charge ..when speaking to Evelyn she mentioned that she had never received a complaint about Susan before . I told her maybe she could be rude and nobody knew how to complain about her before . The waitress was moving fast as if she was and is a capable waitress....we did not blame the cooks,we did not blame the staff we were concerned with the way how every thing was handle. People are spending their money and really deserve descent service.....I thank you...Jacqueline 954-394-9461 ! |

| I received a birthday email for a free meal- my husband and child went with me. He ordered a meal and when he went to pay they would not take the kids meal -eat free off the ticket. They said it was because I had a free birthday meal- What did that have to do with my husband and child. The email and advertisement SAYS KIDS EAT FREE WITH A PURCHASE OF A ADULT MEAL- which we did. what a rip off |

| I just got home from the IHOP in Mission Grove, Riverside, CA. with my two kids and was very disappointed with the poor service we received from our waitress. After asking for practically everything from ketchup to napkin, I finally told her that I felt that we were bothering her. What she told us is that we were her last table and she was already off for the night. That pretty much explained why we were given our bill even before the entree arrived! I also ordered food for my husband to take home, and when I asked for a container for the syrup, she said that she would give me a packet instead because all the syrups on the table were already stocked up! Sometimes I wonder why we even bother to pay for average food and poor service. Its just not worth it! IHOP just lost a customer and I will make sure that everyone I know will hear about this. |

| My Husband and I plus our two friends went into IHOP this morning. June 30, 2010.The IHOP was in Santa Rosa(on fulton Rd) We went in at 10AM and the young Man who waited on us took our order. At 10:35 we saw that all the people that came in after us were eating. So we flagged down our waiter. In passing he held up his hand and said your food will be out shortly. At 10:42 we got up and left. We told the man that was working the cash register that we were leaving as we had waited for our food for nearly 40 minutes. He said OK! On our way to another place to have breakfast, I called back to IHOP and asked for the manager. They said she was off for the day...WHAT..no manager on DUTY? We haven't been to IHOP in quite a while. We remember the service was always rather slow, but this was terrible. One family of 5 came in about 15 min after we did and they were half way through their meal. It must be nice in today's economy that you are doing so well that you can give such awful service. |

| I, my family, my friends and colleagues have enjoyed your restaurants for years, so you can imagine my dismay and disappointment when I learned that you refused to join the humane movement to use eggs of cage-free chickens. PLEASE reconsider this position. We all would very much like to return to Ihop but cannot so long as you refuse to use the humanely produced eggs. Better hurry: I am getting to like Denny's who immediately signed on with PETA! |

| My husband and I just visited a relatively New IHOP @ 5280 E. Craig Rd. Las Vegas, Nevada, on July 6 2009 and found so many OOP's at this location, The server whom seemed nice enought seemed afraid to approch our table, Took a really long time to bring our drinks and only checked back once, The Mgr on duty was walking past tables and putting the tips ment for the server in his pocket "looks like theif to me" The crum catchers were filthy. the floors were unkept, the salt and pepper shakers as well as the syurp containers were nasty dirty stickey, I thought that it was odd that a new IHOP had vary few guests but after visiting this one I can see why no one else wanted to visit there. The food was not the best as it was served cold and trying to get the oine and only server and or mgr. to come to our table to put food in Microwave for a min to heat it up was impossible. I caught the attion of the Mgr once but he just turned away and dissapeared. No good review on this IHOP, But I think the Mgr and Server needs to step up, get over the shyness and be a little more personable and friendly. Its there Job to make the guest feel welcome as well as feel like the staff is happy to see them. I personally felt a little put out and felt like I was causing the Ihop staff to do something they really did not want to do. How sad a guest can be made to feel like an intruder on there day. |

MY SON AND I WENT TO THE BRIGHTON, MICHIGAN IHOP STORE #3240 ON 7-9-10. OUR WAITRESS WAS WHITNEY #372 SHE WAS TRAINING A GIRL NAMED JODIE. WE WANTED THE BREAKFAST SPECIAL. THE TIME WAS 10:30. WE WSKED IF WE COULD STILL HAVE THE BREAKFAST SPECIAL. SHE TOLD US NO, THAT EVEN ONE MINUTE LATER IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. SHE WAS VERY ARGUMENTIVE AND WOULD NOT ASK HER MANAGER "DAVE".
THEN I ORDERED FOOD FOR MY SON. THEN A MINUTE OR TWO LATER A BOOTH ON THE OTHER SIDE OF US ASKED DAVE IF THEY COULD HAVE THE BREAKFAST SPECIAL AND HE SAID YES!! I WAS VERY MAD AND JUMPED UP AND TOLD WHITNEY THAT DAVE JUST SAID YES TO THE OTHER BOOTH OF THREE PEOPLE. THEN HE WALKED BY AND I ASKED DAVE IF WE COULD HAVE IT AND HE SAID YES. I WORK ALSO AND CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NUMBER #1.
WITHOUT CUSTOMERS THERE IS NO BUSINESS. THEN JODIE ASKED IF WE NEED MORE MILK AND WATER. I SAID YES. WHITNEY CAME OUT AND SAID YOU CANNOT HAVE MORE MILK WITHOUT A CHARGE FOR THE SECOND GLASS. I THINK MANAGEMENT SHOULD INFORM THE EMPLOYEES BETTER ON COMPANY POLICYS.
I WORK RETAIL AND EVEN WHEN DOORBUSTERS HAVE ENDED WE HONOR THE PRICE TILL ABOUT A HALF HOUR LATER. WHITNEY HAS A BAD ATTITUDE FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SHOULD SEEK OTHER EMPLOYMENT. |

The one star is not for the food or the service, it is for the temperature at IHOP#0829 in San Diego, Fenton Parkway.
It is freezing cold, un-naturally cold. We ate outside which was warmer, otherwise we would have left. Our server Veronica (218) was very good and relayed our request/complaint to management, but it was just as cold when we passed through the dinning room on our way out. Another employee said the manager wanted kept at the temperature. This man has to be the stupidest businessman IHOP ever hired. If the weather outside turns cold I would never go back to your #0829. The coldest, least comfortable place I've ever been |

| i work at an ihop & i'm trying to keep my job there because it's so hard to find a job right now. i'm sending this message because i'm tired of the games that are being played. the owner is such an ass he thinks that everyone is stealing from him but the people that are stealing from him he does nothing about the plays games with the server's schedual because he wants us to cry & begg but i won't do that... i can't work like this, he never comes to greet the guest when they want to speak to him he plays favorites & i feel that he's sabotaging me! it's like he likes to keep drama & chaos in the work place i don't understand this...it feels like i'm a slave. he wants us to make the guest feel happy & keep up on our tabeles but how is that when one's always worring about someone glaring at them all day & if one thing goes wrong then either you are fired or your days are cut, i have for kids & i can't play games with this guy, he dosen't know how to run a business. i haven't used his name or mine because i'm afraid i'll loose the little bit of hours i do work |

| WENT TO EAT AT THE IHOP IN MESQUITE TEXAS ON GRAND JUNCTION BOULEVARD AND WAS VERY DISSAPPOINTED AT EVERYTHING. THE RESTROOMS WERE NASTY, THE SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE AND EVERYBODY SEEMED DEPRESSED OR HAD NO INTEREST IN TAKING OUR ORDER NOT EVEN FOR DRINKS AS WE SAT AND WAITED FOR 5 MINUTED BEFORE A LADY CAME AN EXPLAINED THAT NOT ONLY WAS SHE NOT OUR WAITRESS BUT WENT INTO DETAIL ABOUT HER TOOTHACHE. NEEDLESS TO SAY WE WILL NEVER BE GOING BACK THERE AND PROBABLY WILL NEVER STEP INTO ANOTHER IHOP AFTER THAT EXPERIENCE. |

| AFTER EATING AT THE IHOP ON SAMPLE RD iN POMPANO BEACH FLORIDA I WILL NEVER EVER STEP FOOT IN ANOTHER IHOP AGAIN. THE SERVICE WAS THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. THE WAITRESS WAS BEYOND RUDE AND SEEMED TO IGNOR HER TABLES AS MUCH AS SHE COULD. THE FOOD TOOK ABOUT 20MINS AND THE PLACE WAS EMPTY. WHEN WE FINALLY RECEIVED OUR FOOD IS WAS SWIMMING IN OIL SO MUCH SO WE COULD NOT EAT IT IT HAD TO BE THE NASTIEST THING EVER. WHEN WE TOLD THE WAITRESS SHE PRACTICALY YELLED AT US AND SAID THAT'S NORMAL. AND ON TOP OF IT ALL THEY GAVE US DIRTY COFFEE MUGS. THERE'S SO MUCH THAT WAS WRONG WITH THAT IHOP IT WAS HELL NEVER ENTERING ANOTHER IHOP AGAIN. |
